@DogOfUlthar - no, sorry. This was the only orchestral transcription I ever (semi)finished. It's just too much work with too little gain - and I have very little time. :-) So I switched to simpler piano arrangements, although I don't even have much time for those right now. But I'm glad this one was useful to you. ;-)

Great transcription! I used it to do a quick mockup of the piece and it was super helpful and shows Ben Foster's orchestration really well!

Thanks! There's a lot I would have done differently these days - that transcription seems so long ago. :-)

Thank you so much for the sheet music for this! I went looking for it as soon as I heard the English horn solo, and I was extremely suprised to actually find it...amazing how the internet is actually helpful sometimes. Anway, have you transcribed any other songs with good oboe or English horn parts? They seem to play any time somebody dies...unless they die in battle. Then it's French horn. Actually, any good French horn solos, too? My sister plays French horn.

@colorfulcrocs - as it says in the description, I use Sibelius (version 6) - that's what plays back the instruments too. As for the copy, I'll get back to you by PM when I get home - shortly before new year. :-)

@supersonicdrawer - thanks :-) It's woodwinds doing it, playing in an (as far as I recall) augmented ninth interval - woodwinds are also missing from the opening bars. Those are mainly not included, because they're not in the concert arrangements, though. Plenty of things that *are* are missing, though: Guitar and drum kit, clarinets and oboes in lots of parts where I *know* they're playing, but not what they're playing, the brass are mixed up, the timpani are almost unplayable etc. ;-)

Thanks :-) As it says in the description, nope, I didn't really try anything - it's just Sibelius 6 playing back the score as written. There's a non-Doctor Who-related orchestral mix in my channel (look for "HighLand" in the title), which sounds more like when I'm trying to make it sound good.

@TheOtherKaneda: Fair enough. I'm impressed with your work regardless: my ear training skills are just about nonexistant.

I'm a music graduate composer and have transcribed many things. I believe you've pretty much nailed it!

For being only a MIDI mockup, it's pretty damn close. Lol, I love it.

can we get this arranged for two pianos? Love this one!

I'm not selling anything, so I'll let it be as "misleading" as I like. However, considering the description for this very video clearly states that the clarinet's haven't been done, it's not misleading at all.

at 1:15 you forgot the wailing thing, i think the strings do it, other than that its FLAWLESS!

Brilliant work, congrats ! Did you try several pitches to render the midi with good sound ? I love all the work you did ! Thanks

Not sure which video you're referring to, but... The last piece in the HighLand video was done (albeit in very short time, and several years ago) with samples which weren't exactly free (more in the several thousand dollars range). So, no need for soundfonts. For this one, I have no interest in trying to make it sound better, considering there already are several fine, official, orchestral performances. The point was to make the sheets, not to spend hours making a copy of the original sound. :-)

This is great! Would it be too much trouble to ask if I could please have a copy of the sheet music?

I looked at your website for this, and although you listed clarinet, it doesn't actually have any notes to play. I noticed this, as there isnt much doctor who clarinet music out there. Please can you rectify this, as it is very misleading

As the Doctor would have said "Brilliant!", "Fantastic"!!!

Oh yes, I'm listening to it. Fine :) but instruments sound very midi sometimes. Bit it's clearly a long run work. You rules ! If you have the time and possibility to try with soundbanks (like merlin_audigy or titanic_200 that are free and complete, just search "sf2") it can please you better.
