Sweet love was not Anita Baker's breakthrough song Anita Baker had two other hit songs on the Beverly Glenn label( before Elektra) The first was the song Wlll You Be .one and the second was Angel ( which was her breakthrough song for the people at Elektra records to notice her) which was later covered by Lalah Hathaway about a couple of years ago

That is true - but "Sweet Love" was the first of her hits to crossover to the Billboard Adult Contemporary and Hot 100 charts.

@@balle733 Yeah I just whipped the 12” of Hoe Cakes/Potholders out & it was fully produced by Metal Fingers,if SUBROC had ANYTHING to do with it you best believe DOOM would have gave him a credit for it,so aye your right,it was BS.It’s unreal how after his death the reissue limited edition,pink vinyl of that 12” has 3 copies for sale on discogs,the cheapest being £333 pound!Post DOOMS death my MF’ collection must be around £3.000 & that’s a conservative guesstimate.Crazy!I’ve got a video of my entire DOOM collection on my YT page if u fancy a peep at it
