The story of this concert is interesting! Shajarian was cold and a little lazy that night, so he wanted to apologize to the Audienses and postpone the concert to another time. But Homayoun asks the father to let him sing and help him. After a little hesitation, the great Shajarian trusted the son. that night Homayoun (who had previously participated in concerts as a musician with his father) sang in front of the people for the first time! Of course, he had been rehearsing with his father for many years, but he had not sung in concerts to this night! Thank you very much for this clip and the memory of the great master. His memory will always remain in the hearts of millions of people.

At the end, people started shouting this sentence: استاد، دوستت داریم! "We love you, Master!" Also, I am not sure if this is significant enough, but in Farsi, just like Spanish and many other languages, there are two forms of the 2nd person singular pronoun, one formal (used to address usually a figure of authority of some sort with respect) and one informal (used to address one's intimate friends and/or family members), and in this sentence, the informal form is being used. I believe it demonstrates intimacy that the people feel towards Master Shajarian. May he rest in peace. 🖤 Thank you so much for this, Musa. It made my day.

All i can say that i am proud to live in an era where this legend existed, and i am forever shameful that i may have not appreciated his work as it deserves to be appreciated and im sure as long as i live i try to pass on his songs to as many generations as i can manage to. There are many many many more songs that showcase Maestro Shajarian's vocals. This song though is a very special one because it is FULL of meaning for the Iranian people. This is a sad song but with the wish of hope. It is basically a pray asking the bird of dawn (morghe e Sahar) to come start singing so the dark night will end...... EVERY single concert the Maestro ever performed, people asked him to sing this song at the end. You have to be an Iranian to understand the different layers of meaning, as this song has been sung in the streets in different turbulent periods in our political lives. To enjoy Shajarian's pure voice and vocals though, I suggest you listen to kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmKwaHaGh8qMi6c
