That 67 Yenko is just awesome. Muscle Car Of The Week has nailed it again. I wonder how much the Brothers collection is worth? I consider it priceless but it has to be insured for some astronomical price. Every time I see another MCOTW, I wonder how awesome it would be to own every one of them.

Wow! Absolutely the most beautiful Camaro you all have featured yet. It's just gourgous. I also love the sound of that exhaust. I also like the stinger hood I never seen one before on a Camaro. Yenko really made some nice cars. Now we have "Hennessey Performance" making the "Exorcist".
@Darryl66367 жыл бұрын
Christopher Haynie yah your right come to think of it that is the first time I've seen a stinger hood on a Camaro as well ---very cool👍👍👍
@ChristopherHayniedd9807 жыл бұрын
I didn't think it was just me. It probably was a 67 only thing and we are more fimiliar with 69 Yenko's.
@Senorlatulla6 жыл бұрын
Yenko was way more affordable than Hennessy..... you are simply paying for the package & their name. Other company will give you the same package if not better for way cheaper

Excellent video as always. One tiny tiny nit, 3.07:1 would be considered a high gear ratio not a low gear ratio on a 1967 Camaro.

See I'm a ford guy all the way but that's is one sick car. Some people might complain that it doesn't have the bigger engine but really if you arnt going to drag it, then you shouldn't even get that upgrade. You wouldn't be getting the full potential out of how you want to use your car.

My grandpa has a Yenko Nova in his barn, all I know is it's dark green and is a 4 speed car other then that it's been under covers since I was real little (like 1984-1985) I've never seen under the hood, never sat in the car, never seen the car run or drive, my grandpa had a pretty major stroke in 1983 and the car was parked. Grandpa doesn't talk about the car or maybe just doesn't remember much about the car but no one is allowed to touch it and he will not part with it as I asked him if I could personally buy it and get it back on the road... no dice so in the barn it will remain.

3.07 gears? Someone ordered this Camaro as a highway machine! It reminds me, somewhat, of the Olds Cutlass "Turnpike Cruiser" which, if I remember correctly, was a Cutlass Supreme with a 442 engine and TH400...but 2.41 differential. 1967 only, as I recall. Later, for a couple years at least, GTOs and 442s could be ordered with two-barrel carbs and 2.41 or 2.56 gears. I've seen a few in that configuration but don't recall them carrying a unique identification like the "Turnpike Cruiser".

Why didn't this Camaro suffer from rear whee hop? I have a stock 67 Camaro that can not burn rubber because the the wheel hop is soooo bad. In 68 & 69 they staggered the rear shocks to help solve the problem.

I owned each one of these cars one at a time during the early to mid 1970s . Wish I could have kept one of them .

What's the difference between solid or hydraulic lifters? Someone please educate me.
@MuscleCarOfTheWeek7 жыл бұрын
Hydraulic lifters have an oil-filled cavity that allows them to self-adjust to a certain degree. Solid are solid and require periodic adjustment to reduce play in the system. Solid are more consistent for high performance use. Basic differences.
@rob99rst7 жыл бұрын
hydraulic lifters begin to float @ around 5000 rpm. That the end of your performance. soldid lifters can be reved to the moon. Solid lifters are for super high performance cars
@deanwilliams8675 жыл бұрын
Hydraulic lifter has a plunger it's filled with oil to Pump It Up to self adjust the valves. Solid lifters exactly what it says it's a solid lifter there's no oil passing through it no self adjusting it must be done. Periodically

Amazing that a current-day Z06 (650HP) or even standard Corvette would blow the doors off of this slug. It has zero cornering capability, so it's a straight-line vehicle only. I'm sure that back in the day, this was the car to have & beat.
