I think it's really cool how Muse played stuff before it was even released. It's really cool to see early versions of some of their greatest work.
@Chico504456 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think my favorite song demo is Exo Politics which was titled Burning Bandits. New Born is essentially the same except the lyrics are in a different order. But that is one of the reasons I am excited about this new album, they said they'll have an acoustic version of every song on the album.

I love how everyone on the outside is staring at Muse like "wtf o_o". God I love this band.

Matt's laugh at the begining 😆. Then his face like "oh i'm not sure, what is this?" but the show must go on so he keep rocking till the end of the song, then he's laughing again when it finished. Cool performance. 👍👍👍

I think one of the reasons behind Muse’s success is their confidence. They just played whatever they wanted and did whatever they wanted on stage, not caring what people would think of them or what a new band was supposed to do. They’re still like this to this day. You can’t put them in a box and can’t tell them what to be or what to do.

Thank you Barry Leitch for making Lotus Challenge/Top Gear soundtrack and thanks to Muse for making the bold attempt to catapult this melody to the stratosphere and beyond. You've got to be a passionate to make this sorts of crazy attempt and I have the utmost respect for that. You can tell 90% of the audience have no fucking idea what they're witnessing because it sounds like nothing they've ever heard before. A visionary mind at work.

Definitely not the best version, but it's so uplifting to hear what this brilliant song originated from. That synthesiser, man, where did he get that? The absence of the guitar is not even that big of a problem when you can see Matt trying out all the buttons on that synth. This period (2000 - 2002) is their creative peek, it's the nicest period to listen back to, it's when they made their most genre-breaking stuff. I miss that Muse doesn't test out new songs on the audience anymore. I think the last time they did that was with Debase Masons Grog (that was later downgraded to Assassin). The only thing they still test out are riffs, good riffs, but as Psycho has proven, not always songworthy.
@thetoastedplum9 жыл бұрын

Note to people moaning about the crowd- ever been to a gig and gone crazy to those unknown acts that come on even well before the supporting act(s)? Muse quite obviously weren't very famous (especially in Germany) at the time and they're clearly playing origin songs a year before origin even existed so of course people aren't gonna be singing along etc etc. At least people are dancing and having fun whilst some blue haired englishman plays with an arpeggiator.
@alebohemio14 жыл бұрын
It sounds like a 8 bit Nintendo!! In fact, Matt has been inspired for one of those games for Bliss, I think. I read it somewhere. Almost 10 years from that gig. Now we can say it was an historic moment for Muse. Bliss is such an anthem for us (Muse fans).
@muhgtra2sd10 жыл бұрын
I'm watching these videos over and over because I believe this all depicts the thought we have to keep up about Muse; whatever they made at that time was a straightforward beam of geniality, something you may not grab by listening to the new bands and to the stuff supplied nowadays. I think they lost a chunk of their insight and discipline as soon as they realized it was difficult to carry on, perhaps they started focusing on the personal earning and they decided it was worth to put the least effort they might instead of getting drenched around a successful album. What do you make of it?
@frets35169 жыл бұрын
fretui medak I think they kinda forgot what made them unique for the 2nd law, but even they have stated "this (was) too much", so they're going back to OoS and Absolution sound for the next album.
