It’s tuned to B F# B E G# C# for my original stuff so for this cover I tuned the low B to A and used a capo on 3rd for the other 5 strings to make them standard. Bit of a work around but it saves me a setup/retune. I use 12 gauge strings due to the lower tuning.

You can just tune the low E string down to A and play it like that.

Yeah it will do. I use 12 gauge strings though so it helps a bit. If you want another way of doing it and have the gear you can just use a whammy/octave pedal to play with riffs that use a low A.
