For the most part it sounds pretty okay here in Citizen Erased, but a track like Futurism (one of my all time Muse favourites)... oh dear god. To spare you the rant, I'll just leave it at "oh dear god" lol. I think the drums sound so flat here in CE vs. the original. They're, again, okay but just not great. In 2016, I just started my acquaintance with Muse, since then each of their songs, I think, managed to be my favorite; but Citizen erased is my MOST favorite song, not only from their work, but from all the music in the world. I have been listening to this masterpiece since 2016 almost every day, and every time it evokes a storm in me, a whole fountain of emotions and soul feelings. This song hits me so hard in my soul that it often makes me cry, and not from the associative memories from my life with this song, but from how beautiful it is; these are tears of delighted amazement, tears of ecstatic delight over the composition that excites your mind, in which every note is beautiful and harmonious for all seven minutes. When I listening to this song for the first time, I was a little rejected by the hard metal guitar intro, and in general - the first listening caused mixed emotions in me. But the more I listened to this song, the more I fell in love with the details, the more I fell in love with the playing of each instrument, until I realized that all the instruments here are a single whole. And the singing merges so perfectly with the instrumental that you understand: there is nothing superfluous in this song. Nothing more, nothing less. Just perfect. Just a masterpiece. Muse, please add this song to your setlist on your next world tour. We all love and adore this song. Love and adore so much. My god this remaster sounds clean. Citizen Erased was always one of my favorite Muse songs, but the mastering wasn't exactly top notch and it really prevented me from loving it as much as I should. This has revived my love for the song and officially made it regain the #1 spot for me. Can't wait to hear the rest!
@SixelaAM3 жыл бұрын
- Drums great remastered - I think there is Jeff Buckley's guitar in the clean parts - Better piano sound - Also some kind of strings at the end (no synth like the original version) - bass same for me, i think - back vocals are angels singing - amazing as always
@arturocomparan87873 жыл бұрын
I agree!! And yeah I had a hunch that it could be Jeff Buckley’s guitar!
@Chris-cf2kp3 жыл бұрын
That's an interesting thought - Yeah everything has more clarity. The guitar does have a bit of a glassiness to it in the clean parts that sounds slightly different than I remember. Could be!

Si hace veinte años fue perfecto, remasterizado es increíble. De mis canciones favoritas.
@Tabula.rasa.abracadavra3 жыл бұрын
más que remasterizado, siento que es como un remix, puedes sentir el snare mucho más filoso y brillante y la rola en general mucho más comprimida sin perder punch... lo que creo que cambiaron es la guitarra clean

That guitar at 2:08 convinced me this is one hell of a remaster
@4879daniel3 жыл бұрын
Comparing to another youtube video of the original - the guitar sounds a bit flat like it's copy of a copy, this is much more alive like a real instrument. It's a shame that Muse has always opted for such heavily compressed sound on their albums.
@LuigiGamesful3 жыл бұрын
@@4879daniel Yeah, listening to this made me realize that Muse is very very rich in terms of sound. I kinda wish they start doing this for Showbiz or Absolution haha
@InsaneGroove3 жыл бұрын
I actually prefer the first one. It's not as clean, but this one feels muddy, devoid of the sincerity the original has. It feels clean, like an hospital feels clean. For me, it's a mix for mixers: they're gonna find it better (because it technically is), but I, as a mere listener, am more moved by the original mix.
@LuigiGamesful3 жыл бұрын
@@InsaneGroove Ah, i understand. If there's one thing that i hope they change in this remix album, is the muffled piano intro in 'New Born'
@maniamuse13193 жыл бұрын
@@InsaneGroove I kind of get how you feel. OoS always had a bit of a thin and slightly messy sound to me but that was part of its charm. There are bits of this that I like like the fatter bass but some things are missing like the high pitched phaser noises at the end which were always part of the song to me. There are some songs which have terrible recording/production but it would be sacriligeous to change them. For example The Killers - Mr. Brightside which was rushed and recorded in literally two hours and it was only meant to be a demo take really and you can tell because the production is awful. But then it was released anyway and became a massive hit and I think part of the reason for that is the sincerity in the recording which sounds like a group of mates rocking out in a garage or in someone's living room at a party.
