The thing I noticed about Muse is the amazing use of the bassline. I listen to a ton of bands, but Muse is special because every song they play has a fun, cool, catchy bass part. Chris Wolstenholme is amazing at bass, and I just love this band :)

It is necessary for the bass to provide more harmony and melody in a band with only one guitar - it must fill the place of the rhythmic guitar and the bass at the same time. And I love that :)

For me, this song is all about the aggressiveness you feel when everything's over. The way you crank up and tell a big "fuck you" and "you didn't deserve me bitch!". Though Hyper Chondriac Music, which is a better (I think) and softer version of this, it is more of "afterward", when you've had time to think, you start to miss the one you once loved and you feel so sorry. More of a deeply sorrowed song. What Matt can do with the same lyrics, in 2 different song with different feelings is amazing.
