Museum 5 Minutes- Birmingham Museums Trust, November 2022

For our ninth "Museum 5 Minutes" we were joined by Rebecca Unsworth, Research Assistant (Decorative Art) of Birmingham Museums Trust.
Birmingham Museums Trust looks after the city of Birmingham's collection, as well as a number of museums and historic properties around the city. Its dress and textile collection numbers around 9,000 objects, including garments and accessories for men, women and children, and examples of lace, embroidery and woven textiles. This talk will provide a short introduction to the collection, focusing on its 19th-century holdings.
