Welcome to Colombia!
The Provincia del Tequendama is a region located in the department of Cundinamarca, less than two hours from the southwest of Bogotá. It groups the municipalities of Anolaima, Quipile, Cachipay, La Mesa, Anapoima, Apulo, Viotá, Tena, El Colegio and San Antonio del Tequendama.
It has many tourist attractions, first because it is considered one of the regions with the best climate in the country, with temperatures between 68°F and 86°F. But also because it has many green spaces made up of forests and waterfalls where people can see animals such as sloths, squirrels, rabbits, dozens of bird species and more in their natural habitat.
Likewise, you will be able to visit emblematic tourist places such as the Salto del Tequendama (Tequendama Falls), a natural waterfall of about 150 meters high, where there was once a hotel that keeps many terrifying and mysterious stories, and which today is a museum that reflects the culture of the region.
On this occasion, in addition to visiting the Salto del Tequendama (Tequendama Falls), I went to the Sabio Mutis Agropark where there are 49 museums on different themes that reflect Colombian history and culture, and to a natural forest where you can easily connect with nature. But it is necessary to clarify that these are only three destinations, the Provincia del Tequendama has endless activities that are worth doing.
