My ancestor James F. Steen was at Musgrove Mill as well as many other battles such as King's Mountain and Cowpens. He ended up as a Lt. Colonel of the NC Militia, although I also have him belonging to the Second Spartan Regiment of SC Militia.

you could load a musket 3 to 5 times a minute and miss every time but you could load a rifle once a minute and hit every shot.

Don't you have historical information of British Regiments and names of the crown forces individuals. This film like many other American historical programmes on KZbin seems so biased on historical information of the time. Battle of Cedar Springs never heard of it more like Skirmish of Cedar Springs.

The British unit engaged at Musgrove Mills were British Provincials. There were no British "Regulars". The units were South Carolina Royalists, (a regiment of loyalist soldiers trained and equipped as British Regulars), New Jersey Volunteers, DeLancey's Brigade, 1st Battalion, (a New York Loyalist unit), Fanning's South Carolina Loyalist militia and the Dutch Fork Regiment of Loyalist militia. Their commanders were Alexander Innes, Abraham de Peyster and Daniel Clary Lt Col Innes was killed in the battle. Everyone in this battle was born in America.
