Mushing With Mom? (episode 21)

The puppies pull like crazy! But will they pull two people? We've been out on the sled, playing and training in good snow. We're ready to see if the puppies can pull the extra weight of a second person and have a good time doing it.

Verb and Noun are such handsome dogs. I realize all your dogs are Alaskan Huskies but, what’s Verb’s and Noun’s“blend?”

Ah. Good question. I think Verb is mostly of blend of "punk" and "trouble," which are pretty common husky breeds! But seriously, the two pups come from lines of bigger and fuzzier dogs. On their mother's side, their grandfather is Silver, who is Brent Sass's (who just won the Yukon Quest for the third time) past leader and stud. Their father comes from a kennel of bigger dogs, sort of the freight-hauling dogs of the past when people used these dogs to pull heavy loads for twenty or so miles.

You can order a very similar harness through Alpine Outfitters. They do custom, or pre-set X harnesses.
