The fact that your friends got you a volume of mushishi...... u have some great friends. Mushishi is a beautiful piece of art, the stories, the characters, the mushi all of them are so wonderfully written. I feel sad that such a great manga is so underrated. Hope it gets a reprint cause I want to collect the whole series.

Hello Soyabean3266, Thank you for such a sweet comment. And yes, Mushishi really is a beautiful piece of art and literature. Sadly, very few people appreciate such tender and peaceful manga. Maybe someday it will get reprinted until then we have to make do with the equally beautiful anime. If I do come across any Mushishi volume, I'll let you know!

It's not a fun to watch anime, even I haven't watched much of it. It's sad, melancholic but its simplicity, the lower stakes nature, and the themes of reconciliation are its beauty. Don't binge it, watch one or two episodes once in a while.

Hey toxic, Watchmen is a stand-alone story so you don't have to read other DC stuff but the thing is it is a deconstruction of superhero stories/comics. So having read multiple superhero comics before Watchmen helps to understand what Moore is actually talking about. But it's 2023 and we already have been exposed to a large amount of Superhero stuff so I don't think you will miss out on anything. Read Watchmen directly. As for Endless, they are introduced in Sandman comics so you may have to read Sandman first. I haven't read Endless yet so I cannot say for sure. Hope this helps.
