Wow, this song was the best op I've heard in many years, and to think that the composer, singer, lyricist was just one person. How insanely rare is that talent, and how did studio bind get all these top talent to work together?

Wonderful take on this piece, its something I've overlooked despite really liking the music. You'll definitely get an answer to your lyrical questions this summer, and the following 6 cours I hope we'll get. Now with the BD release, the whole OST has been a pleasure for listening. Its not something that you notice while initially watching since it blends in so well to set the mood, albeit simplistic.

Yeah, the "when you embrace something you cherish, this is love (not properly understood)" line seems to be a pretty much perfect encapsulation of the grand dysfunction arc, as well as some of the other characters who develop as a result of it.

I am no musician, but everytime I listen to it, I develop fake memories and the feeling of bliss as if walking in a prairie at sunset. It's a blissful feeling thats why this is my favorite opening of all time. P.s. I prefer adventure animes than shounen/action.

@@GengaJupite imo, the lyrics are interesting enough to make a video on it. The song itself takes the original bardic melody and twists it into something much more similar to an exotic tune. Not only that, it sounds like it's being sung by Eris to Rudeus. Also, will you do videos on more recent anime OP and soundtracks like Horimiya and Yurucamp s2?

Most Jpop artist do write their songs and even do the composing especially if they are part of a band, I don't know where you got the idea that they don't, actually western pop singers have more tendency of having tons of writers and producers in their credits than jpop, unless you are talking about idols in which case that is a different thing. Other than that great analysis of the music, the anime is a near perfect show, great characters, animation, storytelling and music
@GengaJupite Жыл бұрын
If it's music for their own band, then yes, but looking at the credits for almost every single or album put out by a jpop artist will show that they usually have a composer or producer doing the actual track composition. It's more common for them to get involved with the songwriting, but even then it's not a rare occurrence for the lyrics to be credited to the composer/producer as well. There are artists like Vaundy and SIRUP who are well-known for producing for both themselves and others, but they're more the exception than the norm. This isn't a slight against the jpop industry, it's just how the pop music industry works everywhere to varying degrees.

Erm , I get the parts where you correlate the music to the story beats , but when you're talking about notes , it's all going over my head . I think I'm missing it when you say "a transition between these notes means this" but I don't get the significance of the individual notes at all . It's like the language of the flowers for me , I know it exists but I don't know how to speak it . Don't mean to bug , but do you have a glossary of these notes and their emotional implications , can't quite seem to google them right..
@GengaJupite3 жыл бұрын
I'm not really sure what you're asking for. If you're having trouble understanding music theory, there isn't really a simple way to explain it outside of simply learning music theory (it's essentially an entire language of its own). Notes don't necessarily mean anything by themselves, but its the context they're used in that allows for compositional and musical interpretation. Honestly, I wish I could explain music theory in a few sentences, but it's not such an easy thing to break down, so I'd suggest searching up basic music theory and music modes if you want to get a grasp of the basics.
@ynvhalc58563 жыл бұрын
Music Theory , now that's a term I can look up . Thanks for replying , keep up the videos , I look forward to a breakdown of mezame no uta , if possible .
