This video is elegant and the man who made it is absolutely an artist. Because he is an artist, and highly technically skilled....he used his skills to create something incredible. The problem though, is that it makes it harder for people to get started growing their own mushrooms when it appears to technically challenging to do so. You can buy a pre-inocilated mushroom bag and grow them on your kitchen counter by A) cutting a hole in the bag, and B) spritzing it with water for a week or two. Like everything, you can make it simple or complex and you can grow mushrooms really easily on the table you eat on.

@@ronlabe5487 Yes mushrooms are as EASY or as HARD as you want to make them. The sheer BEAUTY of Mr Mycodos "MR INCREDIBLE?" video here, is its purest composition of "WTAF did I just watch someone do seemlessly from start to perfected finish?" It's a MASTERPIECE! Although maybe I would not have cooked the finished results in same way but hey, each to their own right? It is GENIUS level video though and one I cannot stop watching. The editing and musical score alone is so catchy and like Mycology, once you are IN, its a world of pleasure and perhaps Manure, depending on what species you plan to allow to dominate your life! ;)

Thank you deeply for this video. I thought I was the only one with the 'mushroom/electronics enthusist' Venn-diagram crossover lol! I just got into mushroom growing about two months ago, and man has it taken over my brain. I am essentially working my way to this set up... Made a magnetic stirrer out of an old computer fan and thought 'that was alright fun,' but started this itch... soooo, I have re-familiarized myself with coding and electronics from high school and bought an Arduino. Coded an extremely accurate temp and humidity gauge first day. Programmed an attiny85 microchip the next day. Today is day three and I see this... that itch has now grown stronger.

Huge thank you for the incredible amount of detail in both this and your previous hydroponics video. The previous guide was incredibly useful and I'm looking forward to building a similar system to the one in this video. Love the use of a pi zero & DIN rail in the control box, looks very clean. The extruded aluminum flow hood with top mounted filter is also brilliant, alot of the other designs I've seen have you facing the filter and this seems more space efficient.
@Kyle.Gabriel3 жыл бұрын
I also have a top plate of the hood frame to use it as a fume hood for when I'm cleaning 3D resin parts or soldering, so I wanted to build it for multiple purposes. If you're inoculating a lot of substrate, it may make more sense to have just a fan and filter turned sideways to you can more easily pull your material into and out of the laminar flow, whereas this is in a sealed hood and is a bit more awkward to move things in and out of quickly. The thought behind using a walled flow hood is it offers more protection from drafts that could blow contaminated air into your work area.
@damiensoubassis27383 жыл бұрын
Thing is, when the "sterile" laminar flow hits the bottom, it circulates particles back upwards, whereas a normal flow hood exhasts that energy outwards, so that particles dont bounce around in that space.
