In this video we go out into Mushroom Wonderland with Mycologist and VP of the local Mushroom sociiety to see what kind of beautiful mushrooms are growing in the forests of western Washington.
Spring is an exciting time for the mushroom forager. After a long and bleak winter the tempurature has started to rise, and the warmer rains have started falling, and as a result beautiful and sometimes delicious mushrooms spring from the ground and logs and trees of the forest.
On this channel Aaron and his trusty pal Gunnar take us into the forest to see what these mushrooms are called, what the uses might be, and how to help you identify these mushies.
This is just one in a long series of forasging videos sthat this channel is getting known for, so we hope that you subscribe and follow on all the other platforms that are listed below. On patreon we offer videos you might not get to see here on KZbin, so please become a member and join Aarons mission to help educate about mycology.
In this video we encounter a couple types of Hygrocybe, including the beautiful Hygrocybe flavescens, Trametes gibbosa, Flammulina filiformus, Psathyrella piluliformus, Pseudoplectania, Stereum, Clitocybe decptiva, Laccaria laccata, Inocybe insinuata, Entoloma, Chrysomphalina, and a few others and a couple of plants.
