They also used to use ammonia species for especially the fly agaric they would put it in sweetened milk and the flies would be attracted to it and it would kill them.😮

I very often find Chanterelles, False Chanterelles and Jack O Lanterns fairly close together. Once you understand the features of each they are easy to distinguish but ya definitely gotta be diligent. Great video! Following ya on Instagram now as well 👍🍄

Fun video. Smart to bank footage ahead of time. Gives us some fun after this crazy summer. Do you think once this drought ends we will get a huge flush or a bunch of OK’ish mushrooms due to the record heat? Guess we will all find out together.

He’s killing all those Chantrell. They’re like a spiderweb unit underneath the ground and once you pull it off of that more than likely, the liver go back there again so yeah that’s why you cut them off.

@@DeeDee-o7d please educate yourself. If you pick the apples on an apple tree, does it kill the tree, no! It's a fruiting body! They rot in place if not harvested, how would that not harm the so called spider web you speak of?

Why do you pick these so freely? It is distressing to see it. There is a few German mushroom KZbin programs. In contrast to you, they rarely remove mushrooms.
@mushroomwonderland1
@mushroomwonderland1 2 жыл бұрын
In order to properly identify a mushroom you need to be able to see the gills or the underside of the cap, the entire stipe including the base. I'm certain that the small amount of picking that I do in these videos does not disturb that mycelium, and I'm actually helping to kick some scores into The wind by picking them, if most of them in the forest unless I'm foraging for edibles. Sorry it distresses you. Any modern Field guide would confirm that picking mushrooms is not harmful to the mycelium or the forest. 🍄

@@mozhgansavabieasfahani4875 in fact, there have even been studies conducted over a 10-year period that suggests that picking the fruiting bodies actually stimulates growth of the mycelium and future fruiting bodies. Wildlife does it all the time!

Minute 4:10. Imagine if people cut instead of just going around tugging up the reproductive, base ... That they will end up cutting off back at home any way. How about taking the camera to the mushroom, Instead of pulling unwanted mushrooms, just to hold them up to the camera. Do you love and respect the forest ? I doesn't look that way, as you go about, just randomly yanking things out for no good reason. Its kind of pissing me off.
