So impressed with all of Abbie’s progress- her listening, posture, and communication is sooo amazing! Way to go, rockstar!! I LOVE what her music teacher said about the person being the instrument and having to “tune” them to help them play their best. That’s a fantastic way of looking at music and learning!

Hey Maas family! Just wanted to say I loved seeing Abbie play piano and have been hoping you’d do a music video. I’m in school studying music therapy (expressive arts therapy to be exact, but I want to be a music therapist) and want to work with children who have disabilities such as autism and who are nonverbal. Music helps with development and improvement in individuals with special needs and I’m so happy to see Abbie enjoying it. Makes me feel like I’m going into a good profession, love you guys! Its refreshing to see you teaching Isiah how to work on his own vehicle! So many teens/20s don't know how to change their own oil or even change a tire. My 16 year old brother in law wants to get his permit and doesnt even know how to pump gas! Makes me crazy.

I have a daughter with high functioning nvld. My wife and I have given our heart and soul to raising her. She is loved by everyone she meets and tries hard at everything she does and strives to be. She has gone thru many nightmares. This was the first. I got called by one school the same day she started. When I got to the classroom, the teacher was pointing at my daughter stating to the class, "this is an example of how not to act." I looked over at her. She had barricaded herself in a corner with chairs and a desk crying with tears all over her face. This is one example of what she has been thru. When I saw the channel Fathering Autism I was happy to find someone in the same boat. I was anxious to see their daily interactions. What I found was a father solicitating her daughters disability for money. Its sickening. I hope one day she realizes what he has done and smashes his phone.

Geez, that music teacher has the patience of a saint. My teacher used to scream at the top of his lungs " WTF are you doing, my students are on broadway"!!! lol, and that's not far from typical vocal coaches etc. That lady has special training with music therapy. Nice!
