Pavel Volkovoi lorgar follows chaos undivided, rather than worship a single dark god they give worship to all of them and the chaos gods aren’t as evil as the imperium makes them out to be it’s just that lately the warp has been subsisting on a continuous diet of negative emotions. Nurgle for example is the most neutral of the gods because while there are germs that are harmful there’s also the good ones that exist in our bodies

Very nice remix, although the progressivelly more diabolical latin in the original also has it's place and is on a different level. Btw. I'm relatively new to the warhammer and I've come across statements designating Word Bearers as the worst legion maybe apart from Night Lords, why is that? As far as I know, the legion itself is just loyal to Lorgar and remains one of the more functional forces on the side of chaos.

The Word Bearers essentially believe that Chaos is what Plato would call The Good. They see the Chaos gods as turbo-demons to work alongside, but ultimately Chaos itself is what they seek to serve. They don't realize that Chaos is in truth the exact opposite of this and is actually pure evil. Their entire goal is to give Chaos what it wants and to give it as much of it as they possibly can. The other traitors legions have at least some goals that could be considered in some way constructive; whether filling the galaxy with (rotten) garden worlds like the Death Guard or a limitless paradise of (false) pleasures like the Emperor's Children. But the Word Bearers want Evil, in its purest and most essential form. And they will pursue that with the wholehearted conviction of philosophers who think they know the absolute meaning of life and purpose of existence.

@@oscarsmith9950 I mean, chaos is the closest thing to god (before the Emperor started to become one as well). Not to mention that they're reflection of living beings (including humans). If you learn that gods are evil, then you have two options: either you, a human (or in their cases space marines), come to conclusion that you're more capable of telling good from evil than gods themselves, or you can come to conclusion that you yourself can't tell the difference accurately. The second option leads to obeying wisdom of gods, no matter where it may take you. Seeing as Lorgar came to conclusion that he was lied to about gods, then it's not that hard to choose the second option. Does it make them the most evil? Probably does from imperial perspective, but from objective perspective I can't help but see their actions as lawful evil.
