A distinct lack of Zako in NMH3..don't like it, don't like it at all. With how often zako plays and how many variants of it there were in NMH, let's cut the shit and be honest---this theme (and the variants of it) ARE NMH's theme, straight up. Also, the lack of blood curdling screams when killing enemies doesn't do it for me in NMH3. Aliens just aren't satisfying to kill.

Thematically that’s the point. Travis is so self absorbed in this game he even hums his own main theme, only fighting for himself. By 3 he’s fighting for his friends, family, and the world, so you only hear the theme in select moments. In fact, the more the games progress the less you hear the theme, showing his growth
