I' ve understood that Taeyeon is the boss in studio when it comes to her singing. She has the final word and she decides herself when it is good enough. There's also nice and fun 'Siren' recording video from INVU album and also there T is the boss. It feels that these Taeyeon recording sessions are actually not very long. She is just that good, works hard and is super professional. I saw some comment from a producer that had really waited to work with Taeyeon and he was disappointed when finally got her in the studio and song recording took only 20 minutes... And of course there's that 'UR' one take legend.

Taeyeon is known for her professionalism and hard work in the industry. She gets so many songs from lyricists and producers. There are so many songs that written in mind with Taeyeon's singing. I'm so glad that sharing recording process videos became a standart for SM artists' comebacks. Also thank you guys for explaining how some things work 💜

Taeyeon is a known perfectionist in the studio. One example that's kinda mentioned by another comment is when she recorded Gemini from her 1st EP. The composers happened to be in Korea and passed by when she was recording it. They heard one take and thought it was absolutely amazing, but the recording engineer informed them that Taeyeon would scrap that take, since she was just laying down the foundation and getting a feel of the song. There's quite a few anecdotes of Taeyeon recordings. She usually comes fully prepared and practiced. So her recordings are usually finished relatively quickly. One example I remember is for one of her OSTs. The composer was a big fan of her. She finished the recording in under 1 hour even though the reservation for 1 session is usually 3 hours. So the composer pretended some parts needed some retries just to hear her more and get to talk to her xD Also, for her own albums, Taeyeon works frequently with the same people in the studio. One name you can see often in her albums credits is Lee Ju-Hyung. He's an engineer/vocal producer from the MonoTree Studio if I remember correctly. Probably because she has good chemistry with him during recordings, so they can throw around ideas and opinions without constraints.

They choose and decided what song to be the title track before going to recording. But sometimes they had different opinion between the company and the artist about the title track song, it happen when Taeyeon fight for INVU as title track.

Sometimes Taeyeon choose her title tracks just like INVU She fight for it Even though SM wants another song she pushed INVU as her Title track maybe that's the case with To. X Sometimes Taeyeon choose all the songs from the Demos from SM vault or Producers Creating a song specific for Taeyeon only just like Time Lapse I think It actually still depends on their mood 😂 coz it differs

Time Lapse wasn't a song created by the producer. It was by Kim Jungwon, the songwriter, singer and guitarist the band Nell. He was so impressed by her cover of their song Time Walking Through Memories (기억을 걷는 시간) that he wrote and gifted the song Time Lapse to her.
