The first sentence is more or less: Welcome, it's your first time with Bangtan. BTS is famous for its great rap line, its excellent vocalists, for the lyrics of its songs (mental health, self-love, personal growth, social criticism, etc), also for its impressive BTS choreographies are very famous; ON, Black Swan, Dionysus, Fire, to name a few. The production of their videos is of excellent quality. The video of the song Save Me was recorded in a single shot, on the Bangtan TV channel there is the episode about the recording of that video. There you can see the movements of the cameraman so that various shots match the rhythm of the song or dance movements. They do the same thing as the zooms you referred to in this video.

Okay, here's the deal, BTS writes & produces most of their music. During Covid they also were down (just like everyone else) about covid and instead of them writing, they put out the word to the top song writers in the music business to write them a HAPPY SONG. Songs to lift spirits. Songs to boost morale. BTS were writing at this time but the songs were sad and gut wrenching. I will write about their BE album later. Mattie: My favorite Music Videos are Blood, Sweat & Tears, Not Today, Fire. My very favorite are the LIVE performances, House of Cards, Born Singer, Outro Tear, Truth Untold, Cypher Medley .

Since auto-lyrics are always wrong, this song is BTS talking about how hard they are working to achieve their dream. They see their old friends clubbing, dating, having fun....but BTS says they don't want to say 'yes' to that life - they want to work all day and night in their studio and practice room. They want a bigger life than what society says they are meant to do (regular salary job that doesn't even pay enough for a house & family) and they won't listen to rejection/haters; they'll keep working hard to be better (or 'dope', as they translate the Korean title of the song: "jjeoleo") Most ARMYs (even the non-Korean understanding ones like myself) prefer BTS' *own* music to their three recent outside-written, all-English songs....We love Butter & PTD & Dynamite, don't get me wrong - they're fun, happy songs that BTS chose to do to reach more people (even including sign language in the PTD choreography) and lighten spirits during the pandemic. What's to hate about that?? But their own stuff just hits different, and comes from their own hearts and thoughts and stories. And don't get me started on their rap songs, because I won't ever stop - they're amazing and I hated rap before BTS.
@KootchLB2 жыл бұрын
In an interview with Jimmy Fallon RM, the leader, said that they always started with the beat. The melody and lyrics came after. Their English songs were written to cheer people up and keep them positive during the pandemic. Their Korean songs are more profound and beautiful. It is fortunate that lately BigHit has been better at providing English subs.
@mcmin55992 жыл бұрын
As important information: BTS's MVs were initially uploaded to YT through the 1theK channel since it had greater visibility than BigHit's at that time, this was until 2015 and all these MVs are with English subs and are the most views have by age. After 2015, BH has already uploaded all the MVs to his channel, but of those prior to 2015, a few do not have subs. I would recommend you review them before seeing them so you can know the lyrics since this is really one of BTS's greatest strengths.

I read your description box and it's no biggie. Hopefully you enjoyed the music and understand that Armys can be a bit defensive sometimes🥰 💜 I agree with you because I definitely enjoy their self-produced/in-house produced (Korean) songs much better than their English songs which are written by outside writers. I also agree that this song does a good job of being an upbeat anthem. The lyrics do contrast a bit with the sound of the song (that's actually pretty typical of BTS) because they describe how the young generation in Korea falls prey to society's expectations and the members prompt everyone to rebel against it. Though the song contains a lot of references that are specific to Korea, the general message can apply to many societies around the world. As you probably already know, BTS writes very deep and meaningful lyrics which is one of the main reasons why their fanbase (Army) is so dedicated to them. My personal favorite song by BTS is "Paradise."

Dope (Sick) is a song about hard work but also about society. You should really look up the word "N-posedae" or "N-po generation" on wikipedia to understand the other side of the Song. Because the Original title has a double meaning and "Sick" translates actually better. "Doolsetbangtan" has excelent translations and pretty much all of their ca. 300 songs. They debuted in 2013. The English songs while good are the only ones radio will play. (they loath to play non-english songs and often pretend they don't exist or other non nice things). They were also not written by them. (RM wrote the rap in Butter). Those are entertainment songs during the pandemic and nothing more. "Film Out" (Song for a Japanes Movie) and "Live Goes On" (Korean song about the pandemic) are also some of their last MVs. They have done more music but those are Collabarations/free music on Soundcloud in the last 2 years. Well... technically "Map of The Soul: 7" (Album) was dropped at the beginning of 2020 and Suga dropped his second mixtape under Agust D. There is an MV for his "title song": "Daechwita". 💜

tbh, dynamite, ptd, and butter is made to break US market, using english language in the entire song and make a simple beat and arrangement. before that era, BTS always make a dope song, complicated and using hangul (korean language) but it doesn't work so well in US radio, that's why they do that tracks. If you want something dope, just check this out. 1. ON 2. Dionysus 3. Fire 4. Not Today 5. Outro: Tear 6. Anpanman and Go Go 7. RUN and I NEED U

This was a great reaction! Thank you for taking an interest in BTS! Their English songs are amazing, put a smile on my face, but it's very mainstream as well (which isn't bad at all!). I fell for the fact that they have so many songs that showcase their talent, plus on top of that they are just awesome, beautiful, loving and humble people who bring a smile to my face every day. They are so versatile, from EDM-sounds to Hiphop/Rap, to latin influenced, to ballads. Their MVs are on another level when it comes to storytelling and I mean, they've got something for everyone! Be sure to check out MicDrop (Steve Aoki remix), it's a song they made for their haters and it is just AMAZING. That one actually made me ARMY, here's the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYXPp2iVd9hrl9k (and have CC captions on).

I love this song so much i cosplayed as Jimin from this MV and did the Dope dance at a local comic con near me and i had fun. Also i love how Jimin and Jungkook bounced of eachother, with their voices. Jimin in this MV is why i love a man in uniform, i love Jimins voice and i also love his highnotes aswell but his character is the one i love, this is partly the reason Jimin is my ultimate kpop bias. This song is totally Dope (see what i did there lol)

Also if you don't mind please check lyrics from doolsetbangtan website for lyrics translation because their translation are the best and they also explained to you korean wordplay and cultural, historical or any type of references that you miss in the songs. Lyrics is very important in bts music, i would even dare to say lyrics play a big part in making a lot of people becoming a fan. Bcs i really had enough of ppl reacting to songs like pluto , whalien 52 or baepsae without understanding the lyrics, people be missing out all the crazy writing. It's just very unsatisfying for me😅
