They said in a press conference today that doing this was a short term decision, since they're currently busy putting together their next album that's supposed to come out in the second half of this year, but when they got sent this song, they really liked the vibe the english lyrics had, so they didn't change the language and since they thought smth uplitfing and light would be great for ppl all over due to the current crisis situation they decided to try this style and put this out separately before their album. (with this next album they are said to be even more involved than they already usually are not just with songwriting and music production but also as project managers, visual managers, not confirmed yet who's doing it but v talked about getting jk to film the mv for the next albums title track for example...). I personally really love this vibe and style for them in this, so to think that this wasn't really planned... I honestly think while this is smth new and while they excell with more hip hop rooted vibes this really mirrors their personalities crazy well, it's just very much them as ppl imo, and I'm really glad we got it.

Thank you for the info! This is kinda unrelated but I think the visual direction was better than the ON MV's. No hate but that MV was kinda all over the place. I would have enjoyed a more simplistic "Medieval Knights" battle and V could be a fallen solider who takes in the little girl as his sister and raises her Just a random thought I had! Lol

@@newchangeunlisted_viewer5594 Personally i think the on mv is honestly one of my favorites i think the mv fit to the epic feel of the song. I love the Visuals in dynamite too though. Just to be sure i hope it didn't sound like they filmed them mv for dynamite themselves, that was meant regarding the next album, lumpens was behind both dynamite and ON... I'm gonna edit the comment a little if i wrote that confusingly. Also now that you're saying it, I'm pretty sure v called her his sister in some behind the scenes footage, but i agree some more story being her and his connection would have maybe been cool, but who knows maybe they pick up on it again someday xD

And wait I have not seen the credits and in yt are always incomplete but it is true that they didn' t write this...that means barely nothing or anything. I knew that a foreign producer work on this but the lyric...that´s weird bc was meant for the album, is was not? @@nataliamendezsilva6575 for more credits on styling for dynamite i would wait on behind the scenes or livestreams they put out so idk. But just to clarify, this is one single as in one comeback, it's not a pre release for the next album like black swan was, it's completely seperate. They just liked this song and wanted to put this song out separately from the upcoming album. That album is where we know about for example jimin being a project manager, v a visual director and all of them haven written and produced for the album.

They said they kept it in English instead of making it Korean because the lyrics fit the melody very well and flowed better. To them, this was a fun release without wanting to put too much though into it, and it worked! It's made everyone sooo excited, happy and energized. They are, however, still working on their new album which will be coming out later this year!

The intention of the group is to spread positivity and a bit of happiness in the middle of this pandemic situation. This is their 1st all English song (which was not the original plan BTW but the boys thought it was best that way). BTS knew that this is not the usual music they create or what they're known for, but they do enjoy exploring and you can consider this like a "one-off" desicion in their music career. If you chance to watch some interviews and read articles about how the song came to be, get more context about this new pop song.. BTS has always been genuine to their self and their music 🙂

This song was an instant like for me, even though I am a person who tend to gravitate towards their heavier, more aggressive and serious style. My jam is predominantly pretty much all rap line related/ centered and Boy with love was a song I had to learnt to appreciate while gritting my teeth. I kinda surprised myself that I like this one so much. 80´s disco vibe is very dominant in it so maybe that´s why:-) It is light, catchy, bubbly, fizzy, joyful, dancy, I can´t complain. Nothing I would wrack my brains too much over but a great song in its genre.

Thank you for giving your honest opinion whilst remaining respectful. Great video! As a fan from 2015 i dont speak for anyone else but I agree with a lot of what you said. Like for example songs like Save Me, Euphoria, I NEED YOU, Mikrokosmos BST, Singularity, Hold me Tight Serendipity and Awake are more balad like. But theres fast paced like Bapsae, Converse High, Dimple, GO, DNA and IDOL which Dynamite fits in to with a 70s flare. All have a different feel in accordance to the story of alternative universe. 7 is one theory. (Really the whole storyline theories are crazy good but complex ans involve books to films to even there own notes). Anytime its weird its done to juxtaposition the alternate reality. The LY albums were mixed up but they had to do that because of the story (so thats why a lot of people liked some songs in other albulms etc). See the story is not in chronological order. So any time it doesnt make sense its contrast. The fact is was rushed out to make the world cheer up makes me real happy. Would love to see your reaction to the symbolism and theory side.

Although I love their songs with deep meaning and hiphop vibe, right now, this song is what I need to hear. With what's happening now, a good vibe wholesome song would be nice. And for them to release this unplanned but still you can see a high quality production and artistic MV already show that they don't release anything just to release something or force anything. They know very well the meaning of good timing. They are versatile and can do any genre, so I don't see any reason why they should not be allowed to release a pop song. If they can reach a wider audience with this wholesome song, why not? At least it's not a garbage song.

I don't know how they settled on making a really western happy go lucky pop song, but to be honest, it's nice to just sit and vibe to another great song even if it is different from what they usually do. I hope they didn't feel forced to change it up in an attempt to keep our attention, what they do is already amazing. On the other hand, they easily could've just wanted to take a break from the serious stuff because everyone needs a break sometimes, especially with what's happening in the world right now. As for the western stuff, the theme of the video was disco, so it would make sense for the song to be really western.

RM, Suga and the rest of BTS have proven their skill sets on songwriting in the past, esp RM which usually does lean on "metaphorical". If this one is their way of knocking into the western gates, with songs ala M5, Bruno Mars, JT and Pharell, then it's GENIUS, considering the zeitgeist or global spirit this pandemic did us. This song is perfect with it's upbeat, rainbow colors, blast from the past motif. We always have Black Swan and On Not Today, Dionysus- for our bit dark and heavy, but for now,, we do need this for a breather from the nasty year we're having.

The song was just supposed to be uplifting to help with all the sadness and struggles in the world right now. Plus, its supposed to have those like 80's America disco vibes. That's why its not super "deep".

yeah i really love this song. happy enjoy felling. I think BTS heal us on pandemic. Dynamite not hard to understand, not complected theory, just happy that what i need on my life now T T. The short of each member separate in early MV started mean we on quarantine time, stay home, keep distancing from friends, family or errthing. That's make me so sad. And I just watching YT, singing the old songs, dance alone in my room. that's me. Dynamite MV make me feel I can be happy while I am alone. That's it. Thank you BTS!! Thank you Nato Love your reaction

Joey if you pay close attention to the music video some of the movements that they do are a sort of tribute to MJ like Jimin do Michaels classic 360 spin and stop in the front and he also did the classic I guess you could call it either a hip bounce or a pelvis thrust I don’t know what to call it though but some of Michaels relatives have reportedly said that they appreciate the tribute and they were very happy with it

I get you cos this was totally written and produced by western producers (no Big Hit in house producer involvement) thus the sound. BTS said they loved the song and were energized when they came across it and wanted to spread the positivity to as many people as possible that's why they went with the original version. I still love it tho but it did make me appreciate more BTS and BH production, lol. hopefully the new audience who loves this song will get to check BTS discography too!

They wanted this to be light and uplifting. They made it to cheer people up with whats going on in the world atm where everything is doom and gloom so they wanted to just bring us some happiness without having to overthink everything.

This one isn’t what I am used to from them. Feels like a happy song for those who keep asking for them to do a song in English. Looking forward to their new album. Thank you for your honest review.
