You know this already I'm sure, but they are really singing their own vocals and playing the music in the scenes. They learned to sing and play the instruments for this project.

Love the studio scenes! Because of the pandemic it gave them over a year to jell as a group to make it as authentic as possible! Been there done that! Started playing in the late 70’s. The show can get campy but the nailed the music! Riley Keough Elvis Presley’s Granddaughter is brilliant!

Yeah, it made sense she wanted the studio cleared. The guys in the band were doing a combination of ogling her and looking at her like she was a zoo exhibit, lol. An odd thing in this scene is that no one told Billy they brought her in for a rewrite of his song until they were actually recording it. Hence the drama (though if they hadn't the drama might have just been Billy not showing up to begin with).

It's impressive that the band and singers learned for the movie

Other than no pop filters anywhere it all felt pretty authetic to me. Continuity on the gear in the series was also pretty spot on with the guitars and the amps and the arc of what they used as they went from the garage to stadiums really made sense too. I think I spotted one modern capo but I'll let them off. I really dug the series and Blake Mills and Tony Berg etc did a great job putting the music together.

The people who do the music said they wanted it to sound like the actual scene.
