I appreciate the breakdown man. I seem to have a similar ear to you but could never put specific words to what I’m hearing. I’ve always said that it is the “little” things in a song that make it great and unique. Of course in hip hop you must always have bars and this track was certainly not lacking there either. NF is a great story teller and when you have the production behind that, you end up with masterpieces like this. I’m actually fairly new to NF but the greatness was evident from the jump. I appreciate you man. Subscribed.

He literally says from jump that he is looking at this from a music producer standpoint. Producers are more focused on the beats, just the way it works.
@NeaLopezProductions5 жыл бұрын
@@TeanerellaX that why i said that he does it good for him. but when he was listening to worst day of my life by crypt, he listened to the story more. NF is a story standpoint kinda of rapper, which is why the instrumental was so toned down during a lot of the song, and the drops to make it sounds better, which they did by a hella ton
@NeaLopezProductions5 жыл бұрын
@@TeanerellaX also, crypt payed more attention to the story, so yeah that isnt "the way it works" not all producers focus on beat alone
@TeanerellaX5 жыл бұрын
@@NeaLopezProductions first of all you are preaching to the choir, I have been trying to get everyone to listen to NF scince Mansion. And I know not every producer is the same... a lot gravitate towards the complex beat. I am a lyric person through and through...i used to sit and write out my favorite songs verse for verse. When I listen to a new album I try to go through and follow along with the lyrics, like I don't care how dope the beat is of the message doesn't hit me. My brother could listen to the same song and he will pick up on the guitar first if its there, he could listen to a new song several times before he even remembers to key into the lyrics. My comment wasn't meant to sound rude, I apologize if my tone indicated that. I only meant that he said he would be focusing more on the beats. Thats all. I too do not understand how anyone can listen to NF and not focus on lyrics. I mean his delivery is so smooth, every word has been purposely picked and he is able to deliver several messages in 1 song all without the use of fancy cars, drugs, and the usual fanfare. He is authentic.
