honestly, FL's step sequencer is a major cpu drain, makes the program have to run through like 4 extra layers of code to get the result. the discord classes i took a while back made this big point of telling us to get it into the playlist even if you start with a step sequencer pattern. can't really see why anyone would be trying to use something like that in ableton lol

@@djlckdwn3176 I will say if you're making EDM with a lot of plugins and/or your on the low-spec grind (as I once was, 1.5 ghz AMD dual core laptop lmao) it probably makes a difference but even then I still used it and just rendered stuff out cuz even one instance of massive would make me stutter. I just like that drum sequencer a lot!

I've been using Luna for like 4 months, it's kinda jank still but they have very frequent updates, and it's free so I can't complain. The only problem is that the stock plugins are basically non-existent, so you'd better have a good sampler/drum machine vst or it's basically unusable
