I bought this game, only due to the fact it had a synthwave vibe. I had no expectations going into the game, and I was pretty happy with this game.

I really enjoy this game. It’s just so unique and pretty relaxing to play imo. My only personal complaint is you can’t add your own music which I guess you can on the PC version. Either way I’d recommend it if you like the look and especially on a sale. Great review bud!

I love it ! I got it last night and went ahead and downloaded it for my PS4 too-both versions under $5. I’m a classical musician , and the reaction needed reminds me of sight -reading XX Century music . The camera changes on the cinematic setting is like a 4/4 going to 5/8 and then 7/16. I’m not sure the rhythmic part is terribly accurate , but it’s a fun ride for the type of gaming I like best.

“When I put it in” - umm, how do you “put in” a digital download? 🤣😂 This game looks absolutely beautiful. But the simplicity and the lack of other racers is disappointing. Great review, sir. Always glad to see a new video.

I need one with thrashing guitar. I love electronica/techno/rave what have you, but a game like this based more in guitars being shredded would be epic. But maybe that’s just me lol This does look really fun. I’ll have to check it out

I love the look of this one, reminds me a lot of Audiosurf if you've ever played that. Regarding your issue with only using one hand to move left or right, couldn't you just hold use your left & right thumbs on the left & right arrows? Granted it would only really work with a controller or the joy-con grip, but I think it would be a lot more comfortable & faster to react. If you're looking for another great rhythm game on the Switch I highly recommend MUSYNX, I picked it up on sale & it's so much fun. It has a great mix of music genres as well. Might have to wishlist this one, thanks as always for the great review!

There seems to be a few "neon esthetics", synth music racing games on the platform, between this one, Neon Drive and Sayonara Wild Hearts (maybe others ?). I wonder how they'd stack up against each other. This one seems to be the most basic, though.

I don't know for sure, but I think I am developing a passion for rhythm games. XD The neon is always a nice touch, as it is kinda the inspiration for my channel art.

@@BudgetGamerChannel Same, the neon esthetics, the music, the rhythm games... All good stuff ! People out here also recommended Thumper, which is pretty wild in all those categories. I know that this is not the sort of stuff you do, but I'd really like to see "special" thematic videos on one genre/subgenre, one esthetic particularity, or one storyline subject, something like that, where you'd round up games that fit the theme, compare them, etc. I feel like you've reviewed enough games now, that there would be enough material (and maybe include some games you've played that aren't not "budget" or have common physical releases). Although, I imagine it's something that you probably don't have time to do, since that would be a lot of work, but I think those could be cool "soecial episodes".

I remember playing a similar game a few years ago called Neon drive which was available for free on IOS. Same gameplay but much harder than this game here (you had to be fast while changing lanes and most of the time wait until the last minute before touching the screen to change your direction). I mastered it with a hundred tries on almost every maps on the hardest difficulty but I had lots of fun without spending for anything... I still prefer it compared to this one because of better visuals but that's just me.

This game is fun for what it is, and the first track is an absolute banger, but I found Neon Drive to be better because it was a challenge, if lacking on levels.

No rhythm games for me. I never did care for them. They certainly look cool but I just don't enjoy this style. We just got Dex by the way for less than 2 dollars on the Nintendo eshop... Just in case anyone is interested.
