They had amazing harmonies and a great band backing them. They were one of a kind absolutely awesome vocals.

Three Dog Night is an American-Irish rock band from the 60's-70's. This band had a lot of energy. They had 3 guys with great voices that could all sing lead vocals. They had a lot of great songs such as "Mama Told Me Not To Come", "One" (written by Harry Nilsson), "Just An Old fashioned Love Song", Shambala", "Never Been To Spain", "Joy To The World", "Try A Little Tenderness", "Easy To Be Hard", "The Show Must Go On" etc.

Gotta love everything about Three Dog Night, including what inspired their name. In the Australian outback, where it gets very cold, campers sleep with their dogs for body heat. The colder it is, the more dogs they bring into their tent. A one-dog night would be just a little chilly -- but a three-dog night would be pretty freakin' cold. Or so the story goes.

Wow.. I was just thinking "how did they come up with that name?" ❤

The intro was absolutely epic.. and you say it gets better?? Put your auto tune music up against this kind of raw talent. You lose.

Evidently, they didn’t appreciate the build up to the song.😂

I actually like this version, although I preferred the original band. But for a first time listen, the studio version would have been a better choice from Bill. Then the embellishments they added here would just be the nice buildup to the actual song. TDN was the first rock concert I ever went to at age 13, in 1970, a birthday gift from my sister.
