She already trained her dramatic contralto voice even further at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Moscow where she studies, yet she is still super young (18), and personal experience cannot be exchanged with the very much always needed learning, doing drills after drills after drills (Like Dimash). So in this way it is good she can experience so many cool performances first hand, live, inspired, and also singing 9 songs from different genres will be challenging but rewarding in the long term. Some details of this performance: The ShowMaskGoon is a new TV show on Russian NTV channel, every saturday (2 episodes left, 7th airing now), where best/winners of 3 music shows (The Mask, You are Super, Superstar) perform, and vote giving 2 to 9 points to each other at every episode's end. So those sitting up there are the other singers, Diana sits with them when others perform. Plus the guest star of each episode, this time it was Yusif Eyvazov (opera singer, tenor, he stood up during the performance). They got only one 9 point, one 8 point, etc. So they are forced to give 2 points to someone, and they wont vote for themselves. She got 7x 9 points, 1x 8 points this round. The guest star of this episode gave 1 point to everyone equally = 72 total. In each round, the participants will be offered nine topics: for example, one will perform a folk song, the second - a song by a Grammy award winner, the third - a rock hit , etc. " The nine categories* are: "People's Hit", "Song of the End of the 20th Century", "Soviet Song", "Hit from Every Iron", "Song of Your Choice", "Modern Music", "Song from a Movie or Cartoon", "Rock Hit" and "Songs of the Grammy Award Winners and Laureates". This song in this first show is for the last category "Songs of the Grammy Award Winners and Laureates". Jez, for you, and all your subs and any others that may not know, this performance took place on September 25, 2021, during the inaugural season of a new Russian vocal competition called the ShowMaskGoOn. Diana Ankudinova’s cover of this Elvis Presley classic, Can't Help Falling In Love, shows that Diana Ankudinova has developed into what many vocal professionals say is a true contralto voice type. For those that don’t know what a contralto is, a contralto is the lowest type of female voice, and a true contralto is very, very rare. Diana during past interviews has said she was not happy with her lack of a higher vocal range, which kept her out of the more prestigious Russian music academies. Diana, along with her vocal teacher decided to concentrate extensively on developing a higher vocal range. Now, a female's vocal range helps to define voice type, and in 2017, at the age of 13, her vocal range was measured from a low of D3 to a high of A5, which is very good for a 13-year-old girl. In September of 2021, at age 18, during her Can’t Help Falling In Love performance, her vocal range was again measured, and her functional vocal range now measures from a low of C3 (male tenor range) to a high of B♭5, (Mezzo Soprano range). During Diana’s opening of Can’t Help Falling In Love she demonstrates her lower contralto range, and the improvement of her upper range is on full display during the middle portion of this performance. The depth and the power of her voice in her lower range further define Diana as a Dramatic Contralto, the rarest of the rare contralto voice types, and Dramatic Contraltos have the deepest, darkest, and richest sound and are the most powerful of the contralto voice types. At the end of this performance, the power of her dramatic contralto voice is on full display for everyone to hear. It is not how low she can go. Her exceptional tone quality in both the lower and upper range of her voice is what makes her voice so very special. It's in the roundness, fullness, and depth of her voice, along with her ability to access and use an enormous amount of resonance. One of the most asked questions is how? How can such a young female singer achieve these low, rich, deep, and resonant sounds? Without scoping her vocal tract while she is producing these low notes and to actually see what is happening within her vocal tract, again the general conciseness of many vocal professionals is simply attributing Diana's ability to winning the genetic lottery, meaning she was just born with her unique vocal anatomy. Diana's vocal folds (vocal cords) appear to be longer and thicker than the majority of female singers. Her larynx appears to be larger and her pharynx similarly appears to be longer than the majority of female singers, plus she has a large oral cavity (mouth). It’s this unique vocal anatomy that appears to give Diana Ankudinova the ability to produce the low, deep, rich, and full sounds she is known for, but without actually scoping her vocal track to verify, there is no way to be 100% sure. Diana has also mastered a vocal technique known as polyphonic singing which is an extraordinary accomplishment for so young a singer. Someone that has mastered this polyphonic singing technique can create up to two, different tones at the same time which can add to the harmonic overtones can make it sound like more than one person singing. It is this polyphonic singing ability, why some people believe Diana Ankudinova is using some form of artificial electronic voice manipulation or she is using some kind of pitch correction software to alter or adjust her sound. Others believe another person is singing in the background off stage, or Diana is lip-syncing over a previously recorded vocal track that was altered or modified. No artificial manipulation of Diana's voice is happening at all, and no one else is singing off stage, nor is she lip-syncing to a vocal track. Other voices and music you are hearing are all backing tracks used to fill in and round out the performance along with the musical score. Diana Ankudinova and only Diana Ankudinova is singing Can't Help Falling In Love. During the final week of this competition, Diana performed her cover of "Can't Help Falling In Love". She was competing against 8 other professional singers who also doubled as judges. This new vocal competition was televised over nine weeks, one episode per week. Diana and all of the other professional singers/judges were competing against each other, and based on individual performances they awarded judging points to each other. When not actively competing herself, Diana was also a member of this judging panel. Every week, each singer took the stage and performed a different song each week. They were required to sing a different song from a different genre using different styles. The ShowMaskGoOn! concluded on November 20, 2021. During Diana's final performance, the judge on the top row, who was the first to stand is a well-known Russian opera tenor, Yusif Eyvazov from Azerbaijan who was invited to participate as a special guest judge for this inaugural competition. At the end of Diana's performance, she receives a standing ovation from all her fellow competitors. One of those competitors is a well-known contemporary Russian singer, Julia Parshuta. Julia is in the center row dressed in red, and looks totally lost at the end of Diana's performance, then puts both hands on top of her head, with a look of total shock and bewilderment. Finally, The Show Must Go On competition concludes with Diana Ankudinova being awarded the most judging points and declared the winner of this new competition!

I hate it 😂 but love how different Dianna is... and yes she has international potential 🤞🏻 shes already working at greatness. This was her opening salvo 💥 in an adult competition judged by her peers.
