Matt Mingus was in rehab for a while, DGD posted something on social media about it. They were supportive through the entire thing though, he was not kicked out. At least he's not trying to sell macbooks to his fans yet. edit: they're in their mid 30s, they've been making music for over 15 years, though their lineup has changed quite a bit. I think it'd be fun if you visited some of their older tracks with Kurt and/or Jonny, they both brought something different to the table.

@nsg00232 жыл бұрын
@@TheClassicalRoots I get what youre saying. My thought is the song writing was far less polished back then, similar concepts but they hadnt locked it in yet. So Jonnys vocals clashed with the chaos. DGD is still chaos, but now they do SUCH a good job making it organized chaos and keeping things grounded/the groove moving. If anything I think Jonny vocals would fit a bit better now, but its a catch-22 because I dont think they would have evolved this much if he hadnt left.

You should definitely check out Humble Ledger by Eidola and Everybody by Don Broco. Eidola is Andrew Wells' (the buff dude behind the counter) band. Wells has an incredible voice and more of a straightforward "rock" tone. Don Broco is Rob's band. Their earlier work was very... not danceable. But still very good. I love where the band is at now, but some day, ideally before this album drops because it'll just be banger after banger, you should check out their older stuff with previous lead signers Jonny Craig (Royal Ocean, Downtown Battle Mountain, DBM2) and Kurt Travis (Self Titled, Happiness). Lemon Meringue Tie or And I Told Them I Invented Times New Roman, and Carl Barker or Uneasy Hearts Weigh The Most are probably the biggest songs from each singer respectively.
