Fun fact, the section at 3:03 samples every single song off of CUTIEMARKS, including "THE KID WHO KEPT RUNNING" itself. It samples all the songs in the order they come in the tracklist as well!

I have a friend who says I'm one of the few people he interacted with that really seemed to have been changed by MLP Fim, who really engaged with it and tried to be a better person because of it. (Party of One was the first one that really affected me tbh) I'm just saying this because... the ways you've been affected by MLP, the level of meaning it has in your life, that's leagues above how it's affected me. I'm naw a music critic, but if I was, I'd have a rave review about how every song of yours drips with meaning, personality, and connection to this show. Tha's why I so often find myself coming back here - the passion, the sheer amount of yourself that you put into this work is impossible not to respect.

One thing I love about this album is that a lot of the songs seamlessly transition from one to another. And this song also seamlessly transitions to the first song.

This song made me cry... Hard. I love all of your music, Vylet, and I'm so happy I found your songs. They were the words I needed to hear at the time. Even if you quit eventually making pony music, I'll always follow your musical career and honestly anything you decide to get into!! Also, Sing a song about life :)

[Verse 1] I’m writing to you for the first time in so long I’ve got so much to tell you So I’ll sing a song about life I don’t wanna grow into these wings It’s just so much pressure Why should I live with the name you gave me? When I could make a name for myself [Pre-Chorus] I was never running away I was racing to the dreams in my head I found a faith, you could never believe From sewing all the wounds we bled You’re just a kid running down A dark and beaten path I never listened, I’ll set a flame to the night 'Cause this road you failed just needs light [Chorus] I’ll be okay I know who I am And even if I can’t fly I’ll spread my wings and try And I’ll keep running Just try and catch me I’ll keep running Because now I know where I am [Drop] Sing a song about life [Outro] I’ll be just fine I’ll be just fine

This album has a very special place in my heart idk but when you published every track here, most of the songs fit with how I felt at that moment, the stuff I was struggling with and specially with accepting myself, I have so much stuff to say and analyze with all of the songs, but all I can say now is thank you so much for this ❤️ it was an awesome trip that gave me the company and comfort I needed during quarantine keep doing amazing stuff as always

Such a beautiful and terrific song as usual Vylet, once again the music and vocals are just breathtaking and magnificent and i especially love that the story for this song is about Scootaloo continuing her own destiny even though the CMC's have gone their separate ways, anyway you did an a truly astounding and fabulous job putting this gem of a song together phenomenal work!!!

This song speaks to me in such an amazing away. I was bullied a lot for my interests so I was always afraid to express myself when I was younger. But now, I recently left my home to pursue my dream career and I finally feel comfortable with who I am. So every time listen to this, it always find myself almost tearing up. Thanks so much for this song!

Tw: mention of s cidal thoughts This song.. it.. hits a part of me that I often don't talk about, a "friendship" that lasted about 6 years, I cried when I first heard this song. I often found myself running from the problems in the stresses I was feeling, leading me to ghost the person that was my "friend" I am still trying to get over it all, hell the vibration of phone calls still stresses me out.. I was responsible for their life in those years, which was too much pressure for a young person to handle.. I'll be honest I had.. thoughts of ending it all.. I was, scared so scared. I'm not going to go into too much more detail, but I want to thank you for this whole entire album, and I hope that you keep creating and doing what makes you happy :) thank you for everything vylet. Here's some of my favorite lyrics :] "why would I live with the name you gave me, when I can make a name for myself" "I was never running away, I was racing towards the dreams in my head" " you're just a kid running down a dark and beaten path"

Man, Today was real rough, But I come home, I shower, and finally get to relax a little and nothing cheers me up like your music, I had an argument with my father about buying a car today, and at work I got hit in the head by accident. So finally coming home and listening to your amazing works, truly helps me keep my head screwed on, rearing for whatever life's gonna hurl my way.

Such a beautiful work here! The instrumental work and the vocals really send off the energy of "ecstatic freedom" and the power of transition and healing in a exhilaratingly wholesome kind of way. Reminds me of so much that I've been able to overcome, but at the same time what I'm still yet to breakdown, I adore this :']

There are very few songs that I've heard in my life that give me chills in it's ending. This album may not be my favorite of yours, but it is one that has left the most significant impact on the way I look into the world and try to live my best life. You are without a doubt one of the best artists I've ever heard, and I cannot wait to see what else you do in the future!

i just wanna mention here, on the last song in the album. I've been listening to this album over and over again for close to a year now. this album convinced me to finally give FiM a shot and i absolutely love it. multiple songs on this album can consistently move me to tears. i cannot thank you enough for this album, the stability that its existence provides me is grounding to an insane degree and it genuinely chamged the way i think about certain things. thank you so much for this album, i dont think i could ever quantify how much it means to me.

Banger album Before this album I had never listened to any mlp songs or watched any of the show, so I had no clue what to expect when going in. But god damn this is easily in my top 5 albums of all time I love it when something completely new and unexpected like this just blows you away even with little to no knowledge of the source material. I loved the meanings/stories behind all of the songs too. Thank you for defying my expectations and keep up the good work.

This album had been such an emotional wild ride. I remembered impatiently waiting for it ever since June and when it drops , I couldn't stop listening to it. CUTIEMARKS had helped me realizing things in my life that I have contempt for such a long time. Thank you, Vylet for creating such an amazing and timeless masterpiece

Vylet Pony is quite a fascinating figure among the music nerd community. She's fully capable of creating a more universally acclaimed modern day masterpiece, and there's definitely a masterpiece in this album. However, most people will never see it, since it's buried under a giant heap of sugar and glitter. And...you know...the whole pony thing. I'm nowhere near being a full-on MLP fan, but I do love some EDM and electropop aesthetics, Porter Robinson’s “Nurture” being my favorite album of all time. And the fact that it's an MLP fan album is just such a cute quirk. And Vylet? If you're reading this... ...keep doing you, girl.

This was my favorite song out of the whole CUTIEMARKS album. Not only does it tell a story, it tells a part of life, A path that we choose for ourselves. In scootalo's case, all she's ever wanted to do was fly but couldn't, so to make her feel like she's flying, she uses her Motorized scooter to feel the wind in her mane and feel like she's actually flying.

what makes me cry is not the title about a kid who kept running, but the fact Scootaloo is a pegasi and she supposed to fly. She born different so she can't fly, while the other pegasi fly up in the sky, she will spend her time on the ground and keep running for the rest of her life (maybe she is regreting to be born in this condition)
