I definitely would sign up! I've commented a couple times on your vids asking if you do or not, but I also lose them so I'm never sure you if you respond or not!

Best lesson on guitar I have ever seen. You make as simple as it can be.I have played guitar on and off for 30 years, I am autistic and have always struggled with books on theory but you have actually turned a corner for me.Keep up the good work and Thankyou.

Man brother you've come a long way... and deservedly for sure!. I remember when I found your "Floods" video and then your " Drop C How you write a riff " video. Proud of you man.

Music theory itself is pretty basic, if you play piano. Each key is its own pitch. On guitar I can play the same pitch on multiple strings. That’s where it becomes a challenge.

I don't think you'll realise how helpful this is/will be, Really stripped it back to a basic form so it's easy to digest. Great video man

This is super an approachable explanation. I agree, the most important factor to remembering and understanding is applying the theory to technique - it goes for all types of learning, not just guitar. Thanks for the motivation and lesson! 🤘🏻🎸😎

Great timing for this video. I've been playing in bands and composing music for almost 30 years and it's all been by ear. Now that I'm 45 I finally enrolled in actual guitar lessons to learn theory. I'm starting next week. I was one of those who once believed if I trained myself to color within the lines, I wouldn't be able to think outside of that to create interesting music. Now at this age, I actually think that, if anything, learning theory will help me better appreciate the many songs I've written over the years.

I'm an older learner, but theory is helping me an awful lot. Ancient masters have all these time tested scales and applications, and learning just even a few beyond Pentatonic and the smallest amount of theory can take away so much guess work and pointlessness. And it really can't stop the creativity, because there is no hard rule, you can ALWAYS add, splice, subtract and blend at will. I have so much more to learn, but it really makes me appreciate the instrument so much more

Thank you for this! I'm 38 now and just started to learn guitar two weeks ago (grabbed my girlfriend's acoustic but plan to buy an electric guitar as soon as I'm sure I will keep going). I don't know where my journey is going but I'm sure this will help me on my way and I'm sure I will come back to your channel and soak in all of this stuff. Maybe you could make a video mentioning some easy to lern metal songs or even some tutorials for beginners?

Nope; you lost me at the 3:10 mark-onward. Suddenly became too confusing. I'm sure to you, the theory/your explanation are simple/clear, but that's really not the case for everyone. A single teaching method isn't translatable to every student.
