Man, I'm so used to this song having been all over the radio when I was younger, so it's kinda weird to see the same song surface again but with another band covering it. Though I'm not so old I remember the original from the 60s, but rather in 2009 when a Norwegian band covered it, called Madcon. Though makes me wonder where Måneskin is from, the spelling seems Danish, as it'd be Måneskinn in Norwegian... ( A quick google later, turns out Måneskin is Italian... not what I would have guessed... the bassist is half Danish though, so the name comes from them it seems. )

From the description, I think the uploader filtered the backing track Gura used on her karaoke stream which was purely acoustic. Then adding original instrumental, this process normally distorts the voice.

Yeah if you mesh the tracks instead of layering them... but that's something that any good sound tech has known how to work around for eons... He probably just needs to get some better editing software and not just use the default compression settings, as they're lossy AF in practically every sound editor I've ever used in the past few decades. Otherwise the video editing portion was great! Ah, that's likely it, derp! He probably doesn't edit them separately, but let the video editor screw with the audio tracks too! Dunno why I didn't think of that first! But yeah... It can be avoided/prevented. I know this firsthand from past work experience in the professional music industry. You always edit audio in too many tracks and then do individual compression before merging... It's an extra couple of steps, but worth it 100%. Edit: Couple of typos fixed. Sorry, typed this on my mobile.
