I got serious chills the first time I saw the video (actually, every time), because that story is very much my own (more as the Jewish guy, not the Muslim girl). I was afraid it would be a religion bashing/metal is the truth video, but upon watching, I saw that the point was that you CAN have it both ways. I take pride in my religious observance. But then I put on my t-shirt, and go smash some heads at a Slayer concert with every different type of person. Metal is a worship service unto its own.

Ya the message of the video really hit that point home! Like you said we can have it both ways. Metal brings us together regardless of percieved differences Thanks for the comment!

im the same. but i feel like there's another point theyre making here that goes beyond jews and muslims. the whole video is leading up to the final scene - we now know that theyre both metal fans and have way more in common than they think, and yet their perceived differences keep them apart.

Awesome and since I’m originally from that troubled region of the world it touched me in some deep meaningful ways. I got so emotional and felt incredible power surge through my body. I feel so uplifted. 🤘🏻 + ❤️ + ☮️

It is Orphaned Land's main message: don't give in to the hate. Music will unite us. I was at a concert, I had a feeling I could make the world a better place. It was awesome.

ya man this band is AMAZING!!! stoked on the new record!!

It comes out the day after my B-Day, so I'm pretty stoked, myself. I first heard them on an old Century Media "Metal for the Masses" compilation CD and fell in love with them immediately (the song was "Ocean Land"). Very nice guys too, but I've only interacted with them on social media and have yet to see them live which makes me sad.

Really liked Orphaned Land over a decade now. If you haven’t yet please react to All Is One. It’s another one of theirs with a good message.

Hansi´s chorus kills me on this song every time! The band Im in "Delirium" shared the stage with Orphaned Land in Costa Rica, pretty cool! Cheers from Honduras metal brothers!

It's really nice to see these guys getting some attention with the new album coming up. I've been listening for a couple years now and their message is perpetually relevant.

As another note (about not expecting a passionate metal scene in certain countries), it's very often the downtrodden regions that cleave to metal more strongly. Metal is an outlet for people who just need to step out of their life for a moment and just scream internally. I refer you to that scene in Flight 666, where that Brazilian guy is crying like a baby after the show. He's the guy who really needs metal in his life.

Would be good if we could hear you guys. I know it's uncommon but some channels actually pause the song so they can talk about what's on their mind that second. Pisses some viewers off but if they just want to hear the song in one go they can watch the original. works for people like Lost In Vegas really well. But being able to hear you better would be good enough
@embpod7 жыл бұрын
DavidVI ya I’m constantly trying to balance the audio. We honestly try not to talk BUT clearly that falls apart. The pausing idea is good! Might give that a shot in the future, could be any editing nightmare though ... thanks for the comment and suggestion!

There are also some good bands from Turkey. Besides oriental metal (Orphaned Land and Myrath: I love both) try: Murder King-Kindar, Pitch Black Process Feat. Necati Karadayı - Halil İbrahim Sofrası.

Interesting blend of influences, musically. If anything can unite differing world views, it would definitely be music. Have you ever heard of Acrassicauda "Garden of Stone"? It's hardly new, but they're from Iraq and have a pretty nice blend of Metal and Middle Eastern feel. If not, give them a try. Good shit. Edit: When I say "give them a try" I mean just that; not a demand for a reaction vid, just spreading the music. Man, I gotta stop writing my comments before your vids are over, lol. Also, have a Happy New Year, ya Bastards!
@embpod7 жыл бұрын
Ya Orphaned Land is really interesting!! I've been digging into into their back catalog for the past week and the blend of influences is super refreshing, it's like discovering a whole new corner of metal!! That Garden Of Stone track is wicked! Thanks for the recommendation! Happy New Year my dude!!

Sorry guys, your video is not good. We can't understand a single word you are murmuring there under the music. The music is too loud, we get it , we can listen to entire song on full quality later. eighter pause the video or bring up your microphone in the mix.
