Ive gone through six other bass players on YT. This is the first that doesnt just play and expect you to be able to see thru their fingers. The visual editing of this is what wins me over. Yeah, music is sound, but learning is sound, sight, feel. Visual components are just as important as sound components when teaching! Great vid!

I am really happy to have found your chanell because I am not only a bass player but also an English teacher here in Argenntina. So I learn the secrets of my favourite instrument and at the same time I listen to a perfect English accent. I could not be happier. Greetings from Buenos Aires.

Great lesson but it could be potentially confusing for beginners when dealing with the E major scale for example to use flats that as we both know, do not exist in E major.

This is the anti-Scott. And I despise scott's bass lessons
@airjumble113 жыл бұрын
Can you explain why? Im a beginner as well. The first lesson I watch was from scott. Then I switched to this channel from first bass lesson.
@jaygriffin57103 жыл бұрын
@@airjumble11 Scott is just an endlessly self aggrandizing huckster with clickbait titles and an endless advertising budget. It's just fluff - nothing of value, nothing useful learned, just gimmicks to generate views like "how to play bass like Jaco" or "how to make your bass sound professional" . No useful lessons, just clickbait.
@airjumble113 жыл бұрын
@@jaygriffin5710 Thanks for the heads up. I can agree with the lot of advertisements. I was honestly thinking of signing up before in their website. But luckily I found this channel and this amazing teacher. Btw, are you also a beginner?
@jaygriffin57103 жыл бұрын
@@airjumble11 I've been playing for years but only started taking it seriously in the past year. I'm not an expert I probably practice 5 or 6 hours a week (which is nothing)
@airjumble113 жыл бұрын
@@jaygriffin5710 ohh I see. I guess I'll be staying in this channel and finish their lesson. Seems like a good way to start bass playing.

Believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you will be saved..Be baptized and repent of your sins. Repent simply means to turn away from your sins. God loves you and so do I.
