Of the several different instruments I play, this is the one I prefer for morning, starting my day. So grounding, calming, meditative and happy, not to mention just plain fun.

I'm enjoying this music on a beautiful overcast day in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NYC at my favourite place to groundhog and connect with the vast network of trees and their underground labyrinth of roots. Healing my body, mind, spirit and soul 💜🦋🙏🏾🤗

Now what does Africa have to do with primality. . .🤨. . .eh, beautiful video 😁✊
@shelbyholcombe87312 жыл бұрын
The drum was the first instrument in all cultures. The traditional rhythms that seem to make up the base of most are sometimes referred to as the primal rhythms. Many African, native American, pagan and other cultures used these rhythms during rituals. Many of these rituals involve gaining access to your more primal and animalistic side for hunting, combat, or defending their families/lives. It is a widespread and understood tradition. I believe that is why it, along with much music in the meditative and freeing vein are referred to as primal. TLDR: drum=old, old=primal

There seem to be two types of people - group one are people who don't require anything more than monotonous, repetitive, unimaginative, mind-numbing rhythms- and the other group who seek out imagination, sophistication, the excitement of surprise, and who don't need to repeat everything. I leave it to the viewer to guess into which group tribal rhythms belong.
@monicajoao5031Ай бұрын
Its not mind-numbing, its a ritual to wake up your ancestors. And they wake up and come and dance, and fight with you. Alongside with you. Its a reason as a dancer, i can pick up things fast, i got it from them.

No, Please do not release YOUR primal self anymore than you already have. We have seen enough if that. We are and have Evolved...now let's enjoy the music, the drumming(Instrument of Life and Evolution)🪘🔊... While you find your primal self(?) And while we enjoy Good, Soothing, Comforting, Stimulating Rhythms of Life, of Mother Earth and of Our Successful Evolution beyond primal ❤...
