As a Chinese I understand and appreciate the way she sang at the beginning, low and carefully controlled. That way you will be able to give it a high rise for later. Conservation at the beginning usually means there will be an explode soon enough, and is loading energy for that now :)

Honestly, I really hope that you could do a bit of background research before reacting to Chinese music, as the emphasis of the song often lies in the lyrics and underlying, subtle meaning behind. The Chinese language is not easy to understand, but the effort the lyricists have put in should never be treated in an amusing way like M-ANGLE did.

The instrument is called "Er Hu", it is a traditional chinese instrument with only two strings. The one used in Tengri's "Heaven" is called Morin khuur, a Mongolian traditional instrument.

I really love your reaction so much !!!!! I don't know if you will notice my comment, but i sincerely hope that you can react to tia's performance - GOLDEN in the same show, i personally love and admire tia as a singer so much , cause she Often incorporate Western music into Chinese music and those production, GOD DAMNN. So im a chinese, and were known that tia is a little less famous than other famous singers , so i would like to take this apportunity to request you guys to have a reaction video of more of her performance to let more people know her. this song is indeed in mandarin, and the instrument at the very beginning is called "erhu", which is quite well-known as a traditional Chinese instrument. FYI, the quick part is not necessarily rap, just singing a little quicker.

I'm glad you guys reacted to this! HOWEVER, I must say that some of your commentary is quite ignorant (musically and culturally) 1. It sounds celtic??!!! ummmm I don't think so. it has NOTHING that sounds remotely like celtic music. Maybe the atmosphere but definitely not any of the music elements. it's one thing when you say a song sounds like another musically but it's another thing when culture is involved. I find it extremely disrespectful, uneducated and ignorant when you basically equated one to the other. It had a erhu in it???? I'm sorry I don't mean to be mean but I had to double take that comment. This one was just really out there. 2. rap??? what part of this is rap????? what??!! she was just singing faster notes. huh??? The song is better to translate to The subway to spring, it brings more scenery to your brain than just "train".
