How ridiculously good that was. He is unbelievable vocalist and artist with astounding voice. What is interesting, he doesn't sound Freddie all the time, if he doesn't want to. Few high notes reminded a little but that's all. Just incredible cover by Marc.
@artfulstories Жыл бұрын
He can practically pull out anything from his pocket. 😂 Yet, he said during his early days with his band dOWNHERE, sometimes he'd say before the show he'll try really hard NOT to sound like Freddie, but he'd get even more comments after the gig, "You know who you remind me of?"

There's a version of Last Song by Elton John that Marc did on one of his livestreams. It's a little raw at the edges, (and there are sync issues from the stream), since he'd not rehearsed it, but Martel's "a little raw" is better than some people after a week's rehearsal. Comes up easily enough on search.

Ohhh-I've been waiting for this! Before I head to my writing cave for November, I've been watching for one of your reactions to a Marc Martel video. Yay! Made my night. I LOVE this song anyway because it was my senior year of high school class song, and Marc does it with perfection and puts great emotion into it. THANK YOU for this reaction. I'm all smiles.

Yeah he’s a great player. I remember in an interview he said he started taking lessons when he was 6. So he’s basically been playing his entire life. Helps also that his mom was a musician as well.

He really might be one of the best male vocals out there today, I was hesitant at first but the more he delivers the more I get convinced. It's not the fact he has a great voice, that seems clear to me, but he can really emulate others, the vocal fries, the little twitches, only bad thing is he isn't charismatic since he is quite a shy guy
@JoshCarlos19982 жыл бұрын
He’s mentioned he grew up as sort of an introvert. But when he’s on stage he has immense charisma. His live performances are amazing.

I can well remember that this song was one of my favorites in the 80s. I also get goosebumps when Marc sings it and I don't miss the full arrangement for a second. His piano version is so brilliant. The only thing I miss is the "Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Elton John" in the middle of the song. 😉🥰😂

Elton John’s autobiography was one of the best I’ve read (listened to from Audible cuz I do a lot of driving). His life story is so full of incredible triumphs and horrific despair. It really showed the human side of the man. I so loved it!
