Till has terrible stage fright. He was in another band before Rammstein and he was the drummer because he liked being in the background. Thats why he has the fire and props to get people's eyes off him and on the fire. This is one of my favorite songs!!!

I love Till's vocals in this, very powerful but fragile at the same time. You're right, he seems nervous. I think he still suffers somewhat of that stage fright he had at the beginning of their career.

With songs like this, the audience's whole focus is on their singing, as the instruments only play softly in the background. That certainly makes you nervous.

@@JimGames I can imagine he did it on purpose. For me the song is about loving someone who don't love you. But is flirting and teasing you. You can't stop looking at them and loving them, but you know this relationship will never work. In both interpretation this whole attitude might resemble the hurt the protagonist feels.

One of my favourite of the last album...live version is very intimate..Till with a very deep voice and Oliver,the bass player,plays in a very spectacular way

I was there in Paris and I remember I just cried when this song started, it's one of the gems of their latest album, so beautifully haunting

Till is very shy. During normal stage performances there can be so much to see that he isn't as uncomfortable.

I remember seeing a video where the members started playing acoustic and they were looking around for Till and he you could tell he wasn't comfortable he came up towards the end...

You´re right about his/their nervousness. Especially Till and Oliver (the basist) are very shy and I have heard that at least in the early stages of Rammstein Till avoided to watching audience because of this.

I am not sure if you noticed or not but that's a bass playing the main melody. Rammstein's bassist is extremely talented (notice the bass in Seemann). Not sure if you listened to it but Amour is also a very nice song from Rammstein.

They are all no longer young. Till is 57 years old,Paul 56 , Richard 53, Christoph 54,Oliver 49 and Flake 54. I also belong to this generation. At that age you can still manage a role like that.

I tried to do a video on the music video but it got blocked. It’s a shame because it maybe my favorite music video I have ever experienced. I’ll definitely be doing a live video reaction. I wouldn’t put too much stress on the texts in your place, because Rammstein often plays with ambiguities, triple meanings and additionally there are a lot of German idioms in the texts that you can only understand correctly and in context if you come from Germany. These texts mostly cannot be translated, they can only be transferred and what I have read in the way of translations up to now is in most cases just terrible and misleads those who have not learned the language from birth
