Elvis gave so much to the world, which I become more and more aware of every day. I've been an Elvis fan since I was 13 and today I'm 60 years old and I'm always rediscovering Elvis. Elvis Presley was more than just a musician and artist. He has enriched the lives of millions and billions of people.

Beautiful. Wish you had used the original soundtrack from the '68 special. BTW, he was wiggling around quite a bit during this song. The story goes that the leather pants were "pinching" him in uncomfortable places. He does squirm quite a bit. The gal to our left actually looks a little worried at times. Knowing that story always has me just a little distracted when watching that tender performance with his exquisite voice.

Yep, I noticed right away that the audio is NOT the same as the video performance. It bugs me too that people do this. I was watching a 'reaction' video of Elvis' "Bridge Over Troubled Water" from 1970 and the audio had been so bastardized it was awful... full of echo and other weird effects... and the people reacting to the video probably have no idea it's been modified (and ruined).
@courtneynairn5089 ай бұрын
@@joeknipp6698 OMG! I get anxiety just reading this. It makes my blood boil, especially if a new Elvis fan is reacting. People need to quit messing with perfection. Of course, Elvis' studio recordings are flawless, but his live performances are on another level. If someone wants to react to the studio recordings, then they can find the official audio, but his live performances should be reacted to as they are, with no changes. Not saying that it's John's fault for reacting to this specific performance that someone has dubbed over. I'm just saying, in general, I wish reactors would make a point in telling their subscribers to send them links to the original live performances, and not performances that have been tempered with. 😊

Such a great reaction by you, & I do really appreciate your reactions, because you are a musician yourself. So thank you. I would really enjoy you doing a reaction on a couple of Elvis’ Blues songs Steamroller Blues in his Aloha from Hawaii 1973 Live Concert ….and Elvis Presley - Stranger In My Own Home Town (X-Rated Blues Jam) … He sang a couple of different versions, with one being faster, but I just love this version, where he slows it right down. You have to scroll down a little bit to get to this particular version. A lot of people don’t know that Elvis did this Blues song & I think you’ll enjoy it.

Hi John, Memories represents for me, a gift. It has a way of slowing down my heart rate which in turn, allows an emotional sense of meandering through his mind. Knowing of the circumstances that led to the 68 special; its importance, the years that he felt he had wasted in movies, the stand that he was forced to take against the Colonel and yet the memories that he had at that time equaled that of three men. ❤️
