He wrote this in prison while looking at a mirror of his own reflection so it’s all about him talking about himself! The reflection in the mirror is the DRUG in ME is YOU! Knowing he’s his own worst self, he had to look at the person who gets himself into all his worse issues. That is growth to acknowledge it, first step to better yourself, some get confused and think it’s about a girl but it’s about himself! He also went through withdrawal in prison. The first one was using humor and liken it to his rock style life, getting girls, being in trouble so your in court! 10 years gave him a opportunity to revisit these songs and really use his incredible voice and showing the control he has over it and makes you really listen to the lyrics, there deep! Wait till you get to I’m Not A Vampire, my guy it’s the same lyrics 🙌and yes, he’s played piano for over 20 years! Ronnie is his own genre of music 🎶 because he can do it all!🔥❤️🙌🎶Thank you so much for doing this reaction I know I and many fan’s asked you to do it! Enjoyed your reaction!

It's the SAME lyrics in BOTH songs, the imagined version is hands down my fave version, Ronnie not only changed the song musically BUT changed the whole meaning and vibe of the song. The man's a genius (understatement), Ronnie leave some talent for the rest of us dude! Also did you notice the vampire teeth he had in his mouth? That was to foreshadow the next song he was going to revamp, and the lyrics "If we are born to die and we all die to live then what's the point of living life if it just contradicts". Gives me chills every single time, same with, "I felt the darkness as it tried to pulls me down, the kind of dark that haunts a 100 year old house". Again chills every single time! Oh and the piano solo is the SAME notes/chords as the guitar solo in the original song.

Thank you for doing these two, they are favorites of mine, and I agree, I like the Reimagined version more.. It’s way more emotional! I’m going to see Falling In Reverse Friday night at 98 Rockfest in Tampa, FL.. Looking forward to seeing them LIVE!! Next you have to do I’m Not a Vampire & I’m Not a Vampire Revamped! i know ronnie can rock but what really gets me pulled in to his songs is his wordplay and master lyricism. it’s blunt, in your face with emotional undertones just beneath the surface. that takes real talent. great reaction trev! #backwøødspøsse

love seeing everyone react to these 2 versions of his song like this in the one video reaction form! I feel like if this had another min of the soft melodic continuing to play before that switch up at the end we may have seen a tear or two! At least the watery eyes..haha Im sure if you knew to do this, then you also know about "Im not a vampire" of old to his new version "im not a vampire revamped"! That one will blow your mind just as much as this, but in a whole new genre and style! lol I know, hows that possible? you ask.. what other genres are left for Ronnie to blow my mind? Country? About the band, only the rhythm guitarist (Derek Jones) is the same in both songs and he has since passed away. The drummer has also changed since the newer version, maybe other members. Been a lot of line up changes so hard to keep track 😂. Derek had been the only consistent member besides Ronnie from day one as he even was the one that picked Ronnie up from jail.

Different drummer and guitarist their old guitarist passed away from lung cancer I think a couple years ago Luke Holland is their drummer I don't know who anyone else aside from Ronnie
