This was my favorite piece of music also - gave me chills when I first watched Inception back in 2010… I think Ludwig’s “Can You Hear the Music” has become my new favorite, or even “Destroyer of Worlds” Ludwig and Hans are unreal

The reason as to why it’s many people’s favorite is because it’s very simple and moves upwards the entire time, until the end. Like a consistent inception.

Simply one of the greatest pieces of music ever written, it's even better in the context of the movie. Zimmer is unmatched as the best film composer of all time, maybe even the best composer full stop.

My love for OST from movies came with two of my first CD's I ever got, Mark Knopfler's "Local Hero" and "The Princess Bride". He has made a number of soundtracks that I just love. I can't even ask you to listen to any one, because they are all wonderful, and what's worse is that you kinda need to listen to the whole soundtrack, as they build up, and you can kinda feel the mood or the action in the movie, from just listening to the music. Like, in "The Princess Bride", you can hear when they are at the market, or the sword duel, or the suspenseful moments, or in the marshes with the giant rodents. If you have seen the movie, just a brief moment of the music makes you replay the entire scene in your head. I love Mark Knopfler so much...

This is breath-taking no matter whether it's the original, or any of the other variations out there (I especially like a couple of amazing adaptations that I saw played on church organs, one of which included a piano in addition to the organ). I certainly enjoyed seeing the intense reactions this score pulled out of you, and the thoughts behind each of these. For something a bit different, there is a duet between Scott Hoying and Mario Jose, who use this score as the background music while they sing the lyrics to LP's "Lost on You" over the top (it can be found on Scott's personal youtube channel). That performance is amazing, and Scott full out belts in a couple of parts, while Mario's vocals soar over the top, and he does his own belting as well. If you haven't seen that video, it is definitely worth a reaction, that's for sure. :) Keep safe and well.

It's all in the name of the piece. Think about what an incredible artistic portrayal of time this piece of music is in every element; rhythm, chord structure and progression... how cyclic it is, a lot like phases of life. We grow, we learn, and, like the piece, the complexity of our lives expands. Our understanding expands. The depth and nature of the questions we continue asking expands. The first note hits a bit harder than the subsequent 1st beat percussion; like beginning. The strings chop their 8th notes just like our day to day seems to hurry on by us... but the melody sweeps in whole notes like the substance of our lives these 8th note days create. The two primary sounds are a piano and strings, like it taking 2, a man and a woman, to create a new human. Then listen to the end again. No percussion, no strings, no rhythm... we're left floating on the perception of time established in us by the music itself. We're on IT'S time... a two-note chord on a piano... perhaps an illustration of two in love becoming a harmonious one. I suppose the very luckiest of us get to pass in the company of the love of our lives. Dynamics... the base volume of the song crescendo's all the way to the end of that magnificent and bombastic horns feature... A lot like life, no? I'm astounded anew every time I hear this piece. Great review!

Who sayed you will not have the opportunity to compose music for a movie? We have the duty to try everything in life. You'll never know what tomorrow can bring to you. That's why trying, trying and an never endying trying sometimes can bring you results. But,in Romania is a sentence : "Be carefull what you wish because one day that wish can come true and you will discover you are not ready for it." Every wish is like a two ways cutting sword so be prepared when that wish will come true to face the consenquenses.I wish you all the best,i'm sure you are a good composer and you will grow.Thumbs up for you reaction and i subscribed to your channel.Never give up to your dreams and one day they will become true.Sorry for my english,i know it sucks but i think you understand what i sayed.

This score perfectly matches the feel of the film. A different Sci-Fi take with a lot to say on a poignant emotional level. I assume you've watched the movie? Hans Zimmer always hits hard - I'd recommend a few other of his scores if you liked this, mainly Gladiator, Interstellar, Blade Runner 2049, and The Dark Knight.

Noice. If you're interested in more interesting pieces for reactions - from Hans I can vastly recommend "Chevaliers de Sangreal" from Angels & Demons(?). EDIT: Perhaps Sunshine (Adagio in D Minor) by John Murphy from the film Sunshine - later modified slightly and used in Kick Ass 2 (called "Big Daddy's Death"), etc. Good bit, though you've probably heard it in a number of film trailers as it became pretty popular that way.

Just imo Zimmer is the greatest cinematic composer of all time. He seems to have a somewhat unconventional view of harmony and melody. A very unified view. There's hardly any other modern composer who can pull emotion out of me the same way. That's something mostly accomplished by the likes of Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin.
