They are so insanely talented they make everything look easy and with no effort. Asami/vocals at 4' 10" is a stage general Napoleon who commands the stage and the entire show. Haruna/drums at 4' 9" is a beast who many claim is an android as there is no sweat, no strain and legendary cymbal work. M & M just showed you what a real Vulcan mind meld is all about. They practice together away from the band chasing the relentless pursuit of perfection. Miho/bass is doing her best Steve Harris imitations throughout the song (her idol). This band is completely addictive and they never disappoint especially with any LIVE performance.

Welcome back. As soon as I saw you’d posted another LOVEBITES reaction I went into auto-play mode. You won’t believe (or perhaps you might) what a refreshing change it is to have someone listening, analysing and explaining what they are hearing. So many reactors simply exclaim their amazement…but that’s it. Seeing as you specifically asked, I agree with those who have suggested “Swansong” with the Chopin intro, though personally I think prelude is the most appropriate term because on the video and album it’s a separate piece of music in the track listing. You need a chair for that reaction so your jaw doesn’t have as much of a journey before hitting the floor. Great reaction, a pleasure to watch.

Best version :0) kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpSwh6eoq9V9ps0 Miyako (black hair guitarist) studied classical piano from age 3, bought a guitar at 18, taught herself out of a book, and joined a metalcore band. She looks so calm and demure, but she is Metal AF! She is also composer of abouit 1/2 of their songs, Engineer Level at Pro Tools, and has a degree in music composition. The Chopin is gonna knock your socks off.

@@rainerzufall42 I generally just take the first link that pops up in the Search that has CC (Hades' does have CC). Mostly, I'm trying to avoid having them pick the newer KAHG version that doesn't have the Intro. Agreed that Hades' version is the better of the two.

@@Patrick_H. Hades' version has CC IIRC, but no screen lyrics, but it has better quality than the lyrics video. It was set to private for some time, but I found it today (see below, in other comment). Both versions are better than the 2023 KAHG version or the versions w/o the piano solo (Chopin)...

Thanks for shouting out Miho on the bass guitar. She herself has described her playstyle as more flashy than technical, and while I know there's other bass guitarists in Japan who routinely play much more complicated stuff, Miho is still pretty damn good with that ESP Amaze. I wish I could attend her upcoming birthday show.

I just love love love your reaction, just like the first one you did of Lovebites, it oozes musical knowledge and attention to details. Great to hear that you also put a spot on the bassist, sometimes reviewers forget her because they are overwhelmed about the guitars, drumming or singing but Miho lays such a solid foundation to the music, she's a great bassplayer. Lovebites breaks your expectations for the secound time and you asked for the stagepiano, just follow the right link that others give you to Swan Song with Chopin intro and then again they'll break your expectations because Miyako is a classically trained pianist and they blend classic and metal seamlessly in that song. I'm looking forward to your review!

Miho's bass runs generally go unnoticed by the majority because of the shred sisters. FYI, apart from earlier tracks, Miyako (black hair) is mixed right channel. Haruna's cymbal work is legendary. But she only does enough to enhance. Never ever 'shows off'. You'll encounter some 'whammy bar' stuff soon enough. And Miyako's love of the wah pedal. AND the piano. Strap in guy...

Great Reaction! The bassist MIHO that you have so much praise unfortunately left the band in 2021 for personal reasons. The others have made long auditions to choose a new bassist, FAMI, a very young girl who is still technically a monster, and you can listen to her, for example, in the MV "Judgment Day"and in the MV "Stand and Deliver", the most recent. Or in the live taken from the show "Knockin 'At Heaven's Gate of 2023, of which I recommend first of all the track" The Hammer of Wrath ", where the new bass player also performs in a couple of short solos.

she has the floyd rose because there are songs she does a lot of bends, dive bombs, pinches and general whammy wank. Just not this specific song. Winds of Transylvania, for instance, she does more dive bombs the whole of the Luftwaffe in WWII.. Also that Purple ESP is Midori's "standard" guitar she uses throughout most of the show, ditto the Dean that Miyako is using. For seeing heavy use of Dive Bombs, watch the live for "Winds of Transylvania For heavy Piano, see "Frozen Serenade" or the version of "Swan Song" with with the Chopin piano etude intro.

Midori, the blond on stage right, only uses two guitars, her primary, and an exact copy. She als uses a Kemper rig. Miyako, the brunette on stage left, uses quite a few guitars. She has the one you saw, a Dimebag, a V style, a tele style, a strat style, an old Les Paul, and maybe something else I'm not remembering. She uses a 100% traditional rig. A Peavy 6505 Plus through an Orange cab, also a good number of pedals. Her tone is ridiculous! By any measure, the musicians in Lovebites are the real deal, as good as any I've seen. What's impressive is their ability to pull songs off live. In their first major concert after COVID, Knockin' at Heaven's Gate, Haruna-san, the drummer, get's one small break, while the lead vocalist talks with the fans. She truly is the little big engine, amazing stamina! Fami is a decade younger than the rest, and the newest member. Knockin' at Heaven's Gate was her first major gig, EVER!!! The first time I opened for a national act, in a major coliseum, I was nervous as crap. Practice and skill got me through it, but nothing like her! It was nothing short of inspirational, even for a touring vet like me. Her playing style is a bit unorthodox. Less box style and more linear. So, as you can imagine, her fret hand accuracy is off the charts!!! Because of her youtube channel, and a solo album in high school, she has a signature bass with Bacchus. I believe she won the one you see her playing, and the ladies gave her a white one for her b-day. She's probably using DarkGlass by now.
