Over 1000 songs. My, you've been busy. That's great. Collaborating and performing live are the best teachers at your stage. There are fold up lightweight dollies that would make it easier to lug your gear, especially upstairs. This live version of Still Had Me is so much better than the one you recorded when you were younger. Your voice is stronger and more musical, and it sounded great with the acoustical guitar. I hope you re-record your originals when you go in the studio to release your first album. You are so much better today, and "it's getting better all the time". Looking forward to your next original.
@miamorrismusic5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Gerry - I'm with you on the changes that song has gone through and me musically. I've gotten to where if I don't release a song when I record it, I find I want to re-track the vocals 8 weeks later if I release it then. I actually got myself into trouble with that and put the new vocals for, Go On Get Away on the video and somehow sent the old vocal to the DSP... Lessons...

I have always said the person that owns ones heart is the person one thinks of in their last moment of consciousness and the person they think of when they first wake each day. Well it applies to other loves of life, when one hears a song written by one of the greatest bands of all time and instantly thinks of yourself miss mia covering this on drums, you now own it. Guerrilla Radio. I have absolutely thoroughly loved following your journey and hard work. Enjoy the ride !..!

You brought a smile then and as my wife from Ga. says “ you’re smiling right on “ 😉 a bunch of years ago when we visiting her folks in Ga. her mom asked her to call the peach farm and ask if they had peaches “ right on” I said what in the world is that all about ? Thought it was kinda funny !! You make us smile Right On 🤗 P. S. I loved your original the most there in Rome !! So proud of you Mia !!! ❤️ brian

As a drummer, it's always hard to see a fellow driver of music go to another instrument. But damn, girl! That solo song with just you and your guitar is where it's at!!!!! Mia, you killing it in the blues/rock genre (with a little room for genuine country) would be a sound to hear. You truly have soul at a young age. Not young in a derogatory way from an old person. But as one of surprise, joy and pleasure there are many years to come. Just jump on the kit every now and again once you make it big 😎 🤘 ✌️!

Rome Georgia is a long way from your home in Nashville Tennesee but I'm m really glad you're getting more experience travelling that part of the USA while getting a better feel of country music/bluegrass right in the Heartland of Old Dixie! Great set with very positive feedback on your spectacular drumming, Callista Clark looks to be on the verge of coming out of her shell as an major artist and Chloe Gilligan looks and sounds very promising like Bailey James as an up-and -coming country singer! Always a great pleasure watching you perform your original song " You still had me" while you play that cajon very beautifully..Wish the Princess Mia didn't have to carry all that gear by yourself! As you've already posted on previous vlogs, I loved your version of Rock Lobster which the B'52s are from Athens same as REM where they have the best Waffle Houses..Automatic for the Princesses!

I'm certainly rooting for ya and we know a lot of other folks & channel viewers are too. Wishing you guys the best in your career ahead. Glad to hear that Calissa will have a new album out. Cool Can't wait to look for it. And by the way, Mia.... Where are your Roadies at? You shouldn't be toting all that heavy stuff around. You could. Hurt yourself Oh and you miss some nice scenery on the way down. I once commented you should re-do this song when your voice matures. Even in a live performance, those notes seem easier to reach and more just than before. You're growing up so fast 😜. Aloha Neighbor! So happy that I got to attend all these shows except the Suffragettes. I watched it on the KZbin live. Now you might call me "crazy", in fact you did. 🤪😂 But I bet most of the folks following you and commenting here would probably call me a lucky s.o.b. that I get to be at so many of your shows. 😂😂 I'll take both .. "crazy lucky s.o.b." 😂😂 Anyway all these gigs were awesome and you were amazing and it was well worth the trips. Eddie's Attic has all the bases covered doesn't it? .. Waffle House, Chick-fil-A, and an ice cream joint around the corner. 😋 lol Can't wait for your next Callista show in Chattanooga at Starbirds. You are going to be saying OMG alot in that place. That's enough rambling from me. Hope y'all got some snow and got out of school. Also have a fun weekend and I'll cya later. 😁🤘💕😎 #everybodyislettingthemiasplay #progigger

I think it was Scott Mulvahill that told me about Starbirds. Sounds very cool.

Hello. Nice this slow version of "Still have me". Bye
@miamorrismusic5 жыл бұрын
thank you - I've been playing with a little more blues swing on it vs 3/4 and it's sort of growing up a little along with me. Not many songs I would keep working but this one always had something special for me.

@@miamorrismusic OK. Next time I will listen carefully to the lyrics and try to guess why it so special to you. By the way, thank for taking the time to respond to our comments. That 's very much appreciated. Bye

Wow, your vocals are really starting to mature - the 'sometimes strained/flat' sound is gone and you're projecting emotion to raise the goosebumps 😉 No stopping you now for sure. @6:30 there's a rogue 'had me' - is that a result of mixing the video or something? Reminds me of tape bleed through but I'm sure you don't use tape nowadays. 😀

yeah, I figured the whole song might be a bit much so I think there are maybe 3 cuts in there. I just fade one into the other so you will hear the crossover if you listen close in each section. I really appreciate you paying so much attention and for your support on the original stuff. It really is the thing that could most significantly change my chances of getting to do music my whole life. Thank you Dave.

Mia doing Mia things on her continuing rise to super stardom. Love it! Random question-what kind of sticks do you use when you play your kit and why did you choose them? I dont play often anymore, and I've never really been committed to a certain stick. Just curious....

I use vic firth 7A's because those were what g-loves drummer handed me but I'm probably at the point where I should give it some more consideration. The lighter sticks helped me get around when I was younger.

You went to Gorgia on your lunch...how long is your lunch? Great job as always. Don't worry, soon you'll be famous enough to hire someone to haul your gear for you. I loved your solo btw.
