Musician Xander Stok is free from depression | 0213

“Depression has been a big part of my life since my 17th…but three years ago it ended,” says musician Xander Stok, “I never imagined living without it."
The singer and songwriter, who had success with his band 'The New Shining’, shares in this testimony video how he struggled with the disease. The depressions came and went, but sometimes lasted three years. During his latest dark period his girlfriend was on suicide watch.
A miraculous encounter with Jesus, three years ago, changed everything. Since then, depressions have been something of the past, and he has a new mission in life: put all the Bible book onto music.
His project, 'Project of Love' has since then captured the imagination of many listeners from all over the world.
"It's like watching someone else", he says in this video while watching old footage of himself.

Wow Xander, I got this just this morning 3/13/24 from a German friend asking me if I knew you and if you were Dutch also as I am and I said yes he is Dutch, but I never heard of him, I will have a look and listen to the song you sent me... so I did, well it blew me out of my socks, I was baptized as a catholic as a baby as so many do, but I felt not really a 'band' when I saw the hypocrisy of so many things and mind you, not knowing what I know now and I left them when I was 16 but kept 'in touch with God' but I didnt know if that was because I was 'indoctrinated or felt fear for 'what IF' and I kept meeting persons who believe in God, J.Witnesses, Baptists, Evangelic Christians, and of more directions. I decided to let me baptize last year in Vila Real de San Antonio on my birthday and on my birth hour and then I started hearing about 'missing books in the bible' the pope being a pedo and hid many of the books to keep us from the truth,... pfff I always felt a sort of being 'an outsider' and I still do, I do believe in God and his son Jesus... BÚT, I would love to know what is REALLY the truth, are we being manipulated, cajoled?? I will ask God thru his son if he please give me DEFINITE VERY CLEAR OVERDUIDELIJKE answers dat ik niet langer geplaagd wordt door dit soort gedachten maar me eindelijk op mijn gemak kan voelen, hou niet vd woorden 'gehoorzamen, overgeven' . Ik vind je verhaal enorm en je muziek die je hebt gemaakt op de woorden die in de bijbel staan, grandioos. Ik probeer op het moment de bijbel te begrijpen via Tom Bradford op YT die de THORA, de Complete Joodse Bijbel uitlegt... daar voel ik me al weer wat beter bij dan alleen met het NT... GOD zij mét je Xander! 🙏

Geloven is vertrouwen, stel je vertrouwen op de Heere God (oud hollands liedje, misschien ken je het wel). Vertrouw hem, stort je hart uit bij hem❤. En nog een bijbelstudie/leestip: bibleproject heeft goede visuele uitleg bij alle bijbelboeken en heel veel thema's. EN en NL. Gods zegen voor jou 🙌

Vergeet niet en zie dat God is heilig, en dat wij onze zonde moeten kunnen erkennen en er van omdraaien en er van weglopen … dat wij wedergeboren moeten worden om echt Zijn geredde kind te zijn. Dan verblijf in Jesus en eindig de race in Hem! Hij komt terug en wij zullen Hem ontmoeten in de wolken… Hij zal de wraak op aarde doen storten over allen die verharde harten hebben en dan zal Hij de aarde doen helen en Zijn beloofde regering van Koning David op Zijn schouders nemen en over het duizend jarige rijk regeren en wij Zijn geliefde bruid zullen altijd bij Hem zijn.
