psalm 37:37 Mark the good and perfect man, for the end of his days are peace A lot of artists in his time have died or have been on drugs and addicted leading to the road of death. But this man is alive thriving and still doing what he loves, and praising the Lord through it.

Phil Keaggy = World's Greatest, most versatile guitarist
@TedSchoenling3 жыл бұрын
Phil has been a guitar hero of mine since the 1980s I was a huge beatles fan, and walked into a store and heard this very new yet beatly sound, and asked who is that. It was "Phil Keaggy and Sunday's child" Since then I've discovered Glass Harp, and have most of his albums. I love that you two have 'crossed over'

at the 24 min mark Phil story.. I was at a show of Phil's in durham NC, and a kid busted out just like Neal was saying. This toddler went straight to the front of the auditorium. Phil stopped the song, watched the kid's movments, and then started playing a tune that kinda looked like the kid if you can picture it. A bouncy, fun, child like song, then the kid danced to it, it was amazing. He then busted out with his "Papa Song" . That is what I love about Phil Keaggy shows, you simply never know what will happen.

15:00 I feel fortunate that I was able to see Phil play shortly before the pandemic happened. I discovered his acoustic music and later his electric music in high school, and seeing him in person was a dream concert for me. I even got him to play County Down, and sign a CD for me. The concert poster is hanging in my office at work. Good memories.

I'm speechless. Two of my favorite musicians. I'm not sure who the best guitarist might be, but I know for a fact that PK is the greatest 9 fingered guitarist on the planet.

I have been following Phil since 1978. If we didn't have him life would be boring. Funny. I am the ninth kid out of a family of twelve. Growing up in the 60's and 70's I was always teased with the Beatles song "Number Nine, Number Nine"

Memories of Phil at a small concert in DFW mid-cities Christian Club (can't recall the name?)... and marveled at his looping. He played some preview elements of Sunday's Child over his walkman straight into the mic. Great memories.

How about an album with Neal, Phil, Mike Portnoy, and Randy George??? Oh I have a new outrageous Phil Keaggy folklore. Phil lost his finger in a guitar dual with Jimi Hendrix.😂😂😂😂 Someone seriously, with a straight face, wanted me to believe that.

They did do an album, it's called "One"
@scottmcgregor5623 жыл бұрын
@@seancheek6196 yes, I do know that they all played on that album, and I thought that it was excellent. I would love to see them come together on a project like Flying Colors, as if Neal and Mike are not busy enough.

Interesting to note the great Drummer Bernard Purdy' has claimed in his book that he plays/fixed 21 Beatles tracks from '62 through '66. There is much more happening with the Fabs than most realize than the Narrative.

I attended and so much enjoyed your loop-show at Z7 in Pratteln, Switzerland. And I have to say, Neal, you are just great in dealing with those little kick-ups with yout loop station: light spirited, with a great sense of humor and with love for the imperfection that makes a show like this just perfect.

This is my first time listening to Neal Morse and never heard of him. This episode is so informative and funny and love all the stuff about the wives, families, and friends. Phil has always been one of my favorite guitarists and a very good songwriter with some really good lyrics that are very encouraging. Blessings to Phil and his family. I just downloaded some music of Neal Morse and sounded good so far and looking forward to hearing more. Blessings on you Neal and family. Thanks for the fun episode and look forward to hearing more.

I saw Phil Keaggy when I was in high school...he was touring with 2nd Chapter of Acts and my buddies and I caught the show in the Phoenix area...of coarse I wanted to go up and see what he was using to pick with...he was using these tiny tear drop picks (back then anyway...not sure what he's using now...) he was also slacking the strings on his Les Paul...and I was like "why?..." and he explained that it was his last show on the tour, and that he was flying out and that (I think it was because the guitar was going in regular luggage) that the quick change in elevation or temprature could cause damage...there's a lot of tension/ pull on the headstock of the guitar already in just a normal situation...I have a friend that had a headstock break on his acoustic bass just having the guitar in his car driving it to my house from about 40 miles away...he opened the case and was very sad to discover what was inside...I was sad as well...anyway, I don't personally know Phil Keaggy, but have worked out some of his stuff...like the major lick in Time...as well as an acoustic song from the Love Broke Through album called Portrait, and note for note his solo in the Second Chapter of Acts song Keep On Shining (link to that song: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJPGpZaog76Eers ..if he happens on this, I'm also a long time friend with a fellow named Dan, and his brother Bill lives in Phil's neighborhood...Phil will know Bill...his wife's name starts with a G...with me mostly, I always tend to know people that know "famous" people, but never actually know them myself to an extent to where I can say "Yeah, him and me are great buddies!"...maybe some day....anyway, thanks for posting this video with Phil Keaggy in it...hope you and yours are well.

The Answer to the monetary thing is micro payments, that pays everyone their due...Every time it is played, it charges an account and sends the payments to the creators, maybe using blockchain, like renting a video on line or a Digital on line Jukebox, So IDK, Cheers
