I've seen many guitarists commenting about the wrong guitar used in this cover's video as well but since I know nothing about guitars and accompaniment, your reaction really helped shed light as to why they were against it in the comments. No flame in intended but you have to think more outside of the box Seanny D. I think the heavier tone from the Les Paul helps us think about the song differently. If the tone of the cover is expected to sound like the original then they may as well use a pre-recorded backing track. I think the richness of her voice matches the tone of the Les Paul (though the sound could have be mixed better). But who am I, producer of the year?

OMFG what snobbery(guitar), you are more distrating than ANYTHING they are doing. Narrow minded thinking....The thinking that a cover and impromptu perfomance with artists that haven't worked together, and not practiced much (if at all), should do things a PRESET way. Why bother if it's going to sound the same. Zai Ro is very popular in South Korea in his own right. IT'S A TV SHOW, that involve other Idols and actors/actresses, who are reacting and enjoying the performance. Many who may know Rose, but haven't met her or heard her sing live. Also as a TV show relying mainly on REALITY, doubt that the mixing is all that much of a priority. The keyboard/piano can bairly be heard, the guitar is loud, and Rose is perfect. Impressing John Mayer, who retweeted the performance....and to thank her John Mayer has gifted Rosé one of his PRS Silver Sky electric guitars(signed) in the new Roxy Pink finish(happy now LoL). And he thanked her for covering his song.

Yeah she's a member of the biggest girl group in the world but watching a few people on KZbin to get tips, maybe go back to some of her older covers before this channel existed she's been doing stuff like this for a number of years. There is one difference Rosé plays guitar and piano so she doesn't have to have a guitar player with her she does many covers on her own just with guitar or piano. But you are right the women that plays guitar and piano sings like an angel and is a member of the most subscribed music group on KZbin isn't at all impressive and is copying a few people on KZbin, at least if you music knowledge is basically nothing.

That's just a few off the top of my head that have praised her covers and/or personally said they want to work with her and follow her on IG actively engaging, leaving comments, and likes on her posts. But yeah respected people from all genres of music are praising her and want to collaborate with her, but you know you said she's copying so that must be the case surely you know more than world famous musicians and singers. Mayer even sent her a PSR John Mayer signature series guitar in Roxy Pink (worth about 2,500) for her cover, but yeah not at all impressive she's just copying. Oh and not to forget her solo which set two Guinness World Records as well as breaking dozens and dozen of other records and achievements. Billboard wrote half a dozen articles about these covers when she was on this show praising her, and Billboard employees named one of her solo songs top 50 songs of 2021, but again she's just copying.
