A lot of people don't aknowledge the people who inspired them and helped them in life to get them where they are and I love you being so honest and the fact that you immediatly jumped to make a video about it to honor your teacher and let others know to honor the ones who helped them in life! I love finding a really unusual but rock solid 'cheap' guitar like that, maybe a little banged up, and having free license to customise/rebuild it. Over the years I've found a few gems and switched out literally every component, even repainted it or changed the entire neck and created some of my favourite guitars I've ever owned... You've got my fingers itching again! Enjoy it, it sounds great.

Cheap guitars are fun regardless, modding them out with what you want is so much better in my opinion than getting an expensive guitar with an ideal set up on it from factory.

Hohner used to make a lot of really good, solid guitars! I've had a Hohner L75 LP copy for over 30 years that was probably my first real stage-worthy guitar. Over the years, I've swapped out pickups, electronics, and hardware, but I honestly didn't have to -- I gigged and recorded with it long before that, and it sounded good even then and was (and is) built like a tank. Your Hohner sounds great...enjoy!

That Hohner is a perfect example of why I don't watch S-type, T-type, LP videos any longer. There are so many interesting guitars out there, past and present. Life's too short for ANOTHER Gibson/Fender video. Thank you for showing us this cool guitar! It reminds me of the Samick Rose Anne a bit.

One of those greatly underrated instruments that came out when shredding was a dirty word, and hence never got the love and attention it deserved. I remember seeing it in a guitar magazine back in the 90's and feeling it would be a great guitar to play. Happy to be proven right all these years later!

Insanely cool video. Revelation guitars were designed by Alan Entwistle back in the day. Alan used to have a blog with some great stories, but I couldn't find it with a quick google. His pickup company in England is still in business and has a brief bio. Your Revelation seems to be a notch above mine, but they made an RTX with 27 frets. These were Czech made. The name was revived by a company in England and are currently made in Asia. Long ago I developed applications using software named Advanced Revelation, so had to buy mine when I saw it at the late lamented Cash America Pawn Guitar Store on S. Lamar here in Austin. Well, that was my excuse when I got home.. Full disclosure: I also own a current Revelation husk that looks like a Gibson LP Recording that I bought from the Guitar Fetish clearance bin... So many guitars, so little time.

Once had the Hohner G3T Steinberger copy guitar. It was a wonderful little guitar with half the price tag of the Steinberger at the time and even had genuine Steinberger parts. It's neck was thicker but other than that, it truly was a winner. This video's one looks to be no exception and it's wonderful to see alternate guitar brands given some air time. Great manufacturers like Kramer, ESP and Hohner don't get given the love they truly deserve. Then Musicman and PRS have bargains galore as well. Don't forget about Tokai and if you have the dosh, Parker as well. Thanks for sharing and this viewer for one congratulates you on a splendid acquisition indeed. Hohner makr wonderful guitars!!!!!(See it's not all about Harmonicas after all 😊)

Proof you can buy some cool old “vintage” guitars without spending a fortune if you’re willing to look outside the major brands and get off the beaten path a bit. That’s a cool looking guitar reminds me a little bit of Uli Roths . Like they took a Strat and looked at an SG and said huh , hold my beer. Looks like it’s got incredible upper fret access, I never knew that model existed but it’s definitely cool, for less than 500 bucks you can’t beat it.
