@@c_sparks_1002 lol for real, and you forgot his cocaine addiction on top of the heroin. I'm sure he could play the solo almost exactly like it was on the studio version if he was younger and actually tried to "copy" that version of the solo. It's not hard to play the solo basically exactly how it was played on the studio version, it does sound better with a strat or tele as the solo has that zingy sound to it. I still can't replicate that "smokey" sound that I hear on the solo, maybe its the amp or pedals... Even with 4 different popular tube amps I can't get it perfectly:(

Wait wait wait wait. Jaybles and KG _DID_ play the greatest song in the world- the song you hear? _THAT_ was the _tribute_ to the time they _played_ the song they originally _created,_ which happened to _be_ the greatest song in the world, whose notes were so awesome they reverberated through time and space and spread the seed of rock, the very juices which is responsible for rock we know it today the juice given to a young Jaybles by Ronnie James Dio. Did you never watch Back To The Future? It's a simple chicken/egg paradox, but when you've been a student of the D long enough, you will understand that they are the vessels of the Gods of rock and were chosen to impregnate the fretboards of _LIFE ITSELF!!!_ They are. They were. They will always be... The two picks, of destiny. And so it is, that we too, all before us and all after us- share the seed of rock. *LONG LIVE THE D!*

To add some more examples: "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele is indeed i-bVII-bVI-bVII and even though it's not a hard rock guitar solo legend it has quite the same effect. And if you drop the exact order and just go around that "i - bVII - bVI" dynamic you get Nothing Else Matters, lots of Iron Maiden epics and many more. Just the relation of first and sixth degrees of minor sounds great and is really REALLY omnipresent. It's a musical trope comparable to I-V-vi-IV or IV-V-I. I became aware of that years ago and took serious measures to get out of that box, outright banning that VI degree of minor from stuff I was composing, because otherwise it all revolved only about that one relation . Other chords where simply additions to embellish the "i - bVI" which defined the sound. And I can tell you: this kind of limiting yourself from using such universal tricks gives you a lot of growth
