Musiclily Locking Tuners

In this video I install Musiclily locking tuners on my Squier Stratocaster. The spacing of the pins were a bit off, so I had to do a little modification to the guitar and the tuners.

Great DIY Video Bruce ! Makes me want to replace the tuners on my TAKERARU 12 string guitar ! It's great that they lock like that. Thanks for showing this... Thanks Marc. I'm loving these tuners, they're great. The temperature changes from 17c at night and up to 24c during the day, with those changes in temperature, the guitar is still in tune. I'd recommend them to anyone. I'll be putting them on the rest of my guitars. Call me Vlad

Thanks BDOG. I'm a huge fan of Musiclily, great stuff and great prices but more importantly is the excellent service. I ordered the wrong part one time and they went out of their way to help me out. I've had a few people ask about the Ukrainian flag. I got it to hang outside on one of our flag poles. We have two flag poles that we alternate the Canadian flag, an Edmonton Oilers flag, my wife's Scottish flag and now my Ukrainian flag. 30's and 20's isnt too bad. We've finally warmed up here! After a week of sub -40c temps, we're now into the -10c and warmer. Supposed to be in the + side of 0 later in the week. Have a great week!

Can you help me find 2 pin staggered for my schector strat it needs the smaller 2 pin. Ive ordered 3 times and have 3 sets of 2 pin fender locking and everytime its the big 2 pin and I need the smaller 2 pin. I think the neck had pings on it. Staggered is a must and locking would be ok too but not necessary. Can you tell me about the 2 sizes so I can get the correct ones????

Wow that is a fare size music room! When did you first start playing guitar?

It looks bigger than it is. It's just an average size bedroom that I insulated the walls for a little soundproofing. That way I don't annoy my wife with my mangling songs. I started when I was about 7 and played till I was about 25ish. Then arthritis hit me pretty hard and made it difficult to play, so I ended up selling my guitars. Then about 5 years ago I was selling a miter saw and a guy offered to trade me for an amp and electric guitar. My arthritis had improved significantly enough that I figured I'd go for it. The fingers don't work the way they used to, but the more I play, the looser the fingers get. Still trying to get back to playing like I used to be able to.

They've been great. Seems to stay in tune better when using the tremolo

How's the quality of them imbdebating on ordering them or just getting then fender locking tuner keys

I can't compare them, because I haven't used the Fender ones. I don't see how the Fender ones would be any better though. They have a very fine adjustment and hold their place perfectly when tightened down. I would recommend them to anyone looking for locking tuners.

I dont get why some people cut the strings at the neck and sometimes without tuning down, makes it harder to take them off when you dont have much string to pull through the body.

The string were definitely tuned down before cutting.

@@nitroxylictv It's always scary when a string snaps! I always kinda look away when tuning the E lol. The gold is pretty nice. It's definitely a more gold than brassy. They have a pretty nice finish
